I'm repainting my VMR V710s soon and I want the HRE wheels gloss bronze but I can't find a color code or a color mix for it. Anyone know the name/code/color?

HRE uses a powdercoat, so you are not likely to find a paint color code/match. They also don't give out color information. I think your best bet is just to pick something close that you are happy with.

Gotcha. Have you by chance seen anything close?

I'd powdercoat them over paint. VMR has a color called bronze burst they would likely give you the details on. There are many shades of bronze powdercoat, and I am sure you could find something you like. I personally like the Volk bronze color used on Volk wheels, and there is a powdercoat company that makes on based on that color (http://www.allpowderpaints.com/powder-coating-colors/volk-bronze-base-ssr-bronze/)

Find a good powdercoater that is doing to do the work for you and show them a photo of the finish you want. If they have any clue what they're doing they'll be able to point you to the closest match that they have and likely be able to show you examples of it.

Haha. Good deal. Those are color codes (called RAL's for powdercoat). I'm pretty surprised they gave them to you as they hold their finishes as pretty guarded, but either way, that looks like it. Those are two different brands.

The base bronze is made by Prismatic Powders that most places will carry, and it's a standard color they call bronze chrome: http://www.prismaticpowders.com/colors/P-4124B/BRONZE-CHROME/

The clear topcoat is an automotive wheel specific finish made by AkzoNobel. It may be tougher to find. http://www.interpon.us/projects/the-wheel/

Wow I can't believe I got that....I've read like 10 different forums and everyone is saying they can't get ahold of it even for local shops to do repairs to the wheels....I feel like I need to post this somewhere important haha

I refinished my ADV's in Prismatic Bronze chrome and didn't like it. Depending on lighting, it can be dark bronze or chrome (too shiny for me).
The Bronze chrome finish looks different in person than on Prismatic website, make sure you have the powder coat place finish one wheel before you commit to all four.
I will refinish wheels with Tiger Drylac Low Lights Bronze (satin finish), it was closely match to an Advan wheel from Japan, powder coat code #049/61120. You can contact Tiger directly for a distributor in your area. They will only sell a minimum of 6lbs, plenty for all wheels with some left over. Good luck [up]

Sorry to resurrect this, but curious if this is the right mix for VMR's Bronze Burst or very close too? Has anyone tried it?

Thanks,
