Ive done some research on this before but all I saw was that its very expensive to fix or replace but if thats my only option so be it.
Im having a problem with my MMI randomly shutting off and it seems to happen more often during hot weather. Ill be driving and the FM radio will start to transmit static noise followed by the screen freezing and just shutting off.
Sometimes I just need to turn it back on by pressing any of the dials other times I have to do this a couple times as it keeps shutting off. Yesterday I was afraid it was not going to go back on because it was not responding at all until I turned off my car.
Ive read that it could be the CPU found in the trunk? Anyone ever had this issue? Worse case scenario If i need the whole unit replaced how much damage am I looking at?
