Hey guys,
I'm planning on getting a paint correction + Ceramic Pro 9H applied (3 layers) on my 1 month old 2015 S4 Brilliant Black with Black Optics.
I'm also just ahead of this being done switching my badges from the V6T to the Supercharged ones.
Any pointers or things I should know about for either the badge switch or the CP9H application?

Heard nothing but great things about the ceramic coatings. Amazing protection after as well.
Are ceramic coatings an option instead of paint sealant? Or where in the detailing line does it go?
Wash
Clay
Polish / Paint Correction
Ceramic Coating / Paint Sealant
Wax / Glaze

Heard Modesta is the real deal as far as gloss and protection.

I just got the 5 year Ceramic Pro done on my car and could not be happier with the results! It repels water like mad and tape doesn't even want to stick to it.
You WILL be impressed!

Curious: the 5 year part, what is entailed in that? I am getting 3 coats done. Is that 5 yr?

I didn't apply it, so Im not entirely sure, I know the Ceramic Pro brand offers a 2, 5 and 10 year service.
Basically once a year you get it refreshed to maintain the warranty. Which is a very simple wash/coating and should take less than a day.
I paid $1700 for paint correction (wet sanding) and the 5 year service, including my wheels, from Mr Prime Shine. You can find him on Facebook

1.5k?? that seems crazy high. while expensive you can do it yourself pretty easily.

Most of the coatings that detailers charge a lot for are pro use only and you'll have a hard time getting your hands on them.

Any update on this? I'm getting Suntek with Ceramic Pro 9H (the lifetime one) put on my car next week.

Hey I hope this will help, search my instagram for some pictures of my 2012 s4(user name is vuteea).. I got the ceramic pro 4 layers about 7-8 months ago and i LOVE IT!!! yeah it is a little pricey, but i mean its a long/tedious process of layering. Protects the cars original paint and makes car washing easy as well. Looks better than when i first got it.

Great shots.
Tell me, do you find 8 months later that it still protects the same as after you first got it, or has it worn off any?
Is the 4 layers you got 4 layers of 9H plus the 1 layer of the light over top?

I think just 4 layers of 9h, yeah still doing well a couple of minor scrape but when i took it to them they said its only on the ceramic pro layer not the car paint. They will touch up on it at my 1 year appointment

Ceramic Pro is fantastic. I have it on mine. Really brings out the depth in your paint and is super impressive in terms of durability. Make sure your paint underneath is immaculate.
Also I'd do the badges after the ceramic pro.

Here's a link to my detailer's facebook. He took a good amount of before and after pics including a walk around video. Very impressed with the results. The paint looks better than ever.

Too late, I did them before as I figured they wouldn't stick to the coating after.
Any reason why you said after vs. before?

That ENLAES Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler looks great, how are you liking it so far? What are the typical reactions to it from other people?

I love it! Totally changes the look of the back, makes it way more aggressive. I've gotten lots of compliments so far. Definitely looks even better in person.

I think I will need to pick one up very soon.

Interested to see how this looks after the Suntek is put on and this on top. He said the Suntek will make up for some of the nano swirls so he is just focusing on the more apparent ones for correction. I'm going to get his word that it looks perfect after and if not then guess he will get to redo it.
I was thinking of just going with front clip plus rockers for ppf and then ceramic pro whole car ($3k with correction and full detail), but now I'm wondering if I should ppf the whole car and ceramic pro the whole thing. It was quite a bit more expensive ($5500) but maybe there is some room for negotiation

$5500 for a detail/coating is absolutely ridiculous.

You must have missed the fact that it includes a full vehicle PPF wrap too

Why do the ceramic pro plus a wrap? If you're going to wrap you may as well hold off on correction and coating until you decide you want to go back to factory. If you're going to go clear then I'd just do a correction and xpel.
I've got a partial bra and ceramic pro (4 layers) in my car. After about 2.5 months of frequent 2 bucket washing I can detect the hint of swirls here and there but for the most part it looks as if the car just came back from correction. Beading is still really good and I'm having a hard time getting soap to stick to my car using a foam lance, first world problems.
I had to go back to my detailer to get a few touch ups due to high spots but I think sepang really makes it obvious when there's a high spot. My wife's q5 is moonlight blue(?) which is significantly darker and I couldn't find any high spots on her car. For my wife's 3 year old paint to get corrected plus 4 layers of ceramic pro cost us $1400. My car came from the dealer with a half bra so we got lucky on that. Since my car required less correction it was $1300. $3k for detail, correction, and ceramic pro does seem a touch on the high side though I'm not sure what the detail includes. Our cars included a detail as well (vacuum interior, clean surfaces, etc) but not much else, don't remember now if the carpets were shampooed. Could also just be a regional pricing thing based on competition/availability.

Let me try this one more time. Suntek is a self healing paint protection film like Xpel. It is clear, and will help prevent paint from scratching, chipping, swirling, etc. my plan was to put a coating on top to help gloss the car up, improve hydrophobic qualities, and add even a little more protection to it.
The $3k "detail" that you guys keep talking about is not just a detail guys. This does include a detail, but it also includes the installation of the Suntek paint protection film on the front bumper, full hood, mirrors, quarters, and rockers.
Similar to Rocket, I was quoted $1300 for full car in ceramic pro. You can figure out how much the PPF and prep is now based on that number.
