Has this happened to anyone before--body part question/cross post from RS4 board.

About 6 months ago, I noticed my rain gutter/rail thing at the leading edge of the roof on the drivers side was sticking up about half an inch. Until last week, I have been able to push it back down under the rubber edge of the windshield. It would usually stay that way for a few days and then pop back up. Today, I tried to push it back down and it wouldn't go in. Stupidly I tried to pull it up a little and then push it back down, and now it looks like this. My car has a cowlick.

I showed it to the service guys at my local dealer and they suggested taking it to their body shop. Before I do that, I want to check if anyone else has come across this issue and if there's an easy solution.

Push it back in and use some 3M molding tape to keep it down?

Had the same issue. Fixed under warranty. The dealer replaced it and used some kind of glue. Unfortunately, it needs to be painted. I expected them to just glue the existing one, but was told it is difficult to get glue under it without damaging it.
