do you commonly do upshifts while holding down the gas, or do you try to let up the gas in between shifts?

What about downshifts?

There is absolutely no reason to lift off the throttle.

There is absolutely no reason to lift off the throttle.Exactly. Just drive it like you would a regular automatic.

Their is no reason to let off. Their is no clutch pedal. The 2 clutches are all computer controlled. 1 controls the even stack of gears and the other controls the odd stack. You don't have to worry about damaging or wearing the syncros. The correct gear is always engauged with no load on it, so that there is very very minimal wear to the syncros. The computer calculates on what your doing to select the best next gear before you do. So when it shifts all it does is swap clutches.
