I love my MMI buttons/dials location in front of the cupholder on my A4.
It's so convenient, especially with the automatic transmission since my left arms tends to stay on the arm rest. I don't have to move it to control the MMI.
But I just happened across a pic of a new S4 interior and it looks much different with the controls up on the center stack.
Had to go to Audi USA webite to confirm the difference. The pics of the S4 interior (manual and auto) are indeed different than the A4 on their site.
At first I thought maybe it was manual transmission cars, since your hand would be on the shift knob, putting it closer to the center stack, but it looks like the auto is the same way.
Any idea what the reason is?
The 2015 S4 pic i see in the classifieds looks like this...
