Had my dealership install EC sways and put on my summer wheels and PSS tires, then went to Tuning Works on Long Island where I had GIAC stage 1 and the DSG tune installed. The 50 mile ride home was pretty awesome, I know some say it takes a while for the tune to adapt but I could feel the power in the upper RPM's the minute I left the shop. The sways transform how the car handles and the steering feel is now reminisant of the old dynamic mode before they changed it with the update, overall I'm a happy guy

Can you elaborate on "old dynamic mode"? I am not sure I know anything about this. Glad you're happy with your new mods :)

it refers to facelifted models steering settings. I agree though, I have the same setup save for bilstein pss10's and the car is amazing to drive. I also have APR stage 1 and noticed the difference right away.

About a year ago Audi put out a steering update for 2013+ models that made the dynamic setting a lot softer which almost universally was hated, there are long threads on the topic

Donald and Rich over at TW are good friends. Good to see the shop thriving. Was just there to put on my Rs4 grille last week.

Good guys and good shop, I'm sure when the stage 1 novelty wears off I'll be back up there for stage 2

Congrats! Sounds awesome and encouraging.
I have the EC Sways and Endlinks, H&R OE springs, control arms and a deval diffuser sitting here waiting for install next week, so I know that feel and am looking forward to how it changes the ride.
Have just a few thousand miles left on the warranty as well and will do the pulley/tune then. Very glad to hear you are liking it. How is the GIAC DSG tune doing, what sort of shift point change are you seeing there? I have ridden in a GAIC tune on a manual but never the DSG and really hope it opens up some of the current stock DSG limitations.

Sounds awesome! Glad to hear that the EC sways make the steering feel good again! That's a lot of changes at once, must feel like a different car!

Wow! That's a busy day! Glad to hear you are enjoying your new mods!

I almost pulled the trigger on getting the EC sways, endlinks and AK but decided against it as I already have the Bilstein PSS10's, I don't track the car and honestly just don't need all of that right now. Including install, it was going to be about $2k. Figured I'd be happier by saving that money and putting it towards a stage 2 tune + DSG whenever the tuners release them this year. More bang for the buck.

But everyone that has the EC sways and/or AK swears by them and raves about the performance and quality! Glad to hear another positive review! [up]

I noticed a big difference, i.e. reduced body roll, when I installed the EC sways and endlinks on my B8. I only have the rear EC parts installed on my B8.5 and did not notice such a big difference versus stock. The front seems to make more of a difference than the rear as far as I could tell.

So I put another 200 miles on the car today and the tune is getting stronger and stronger, the DSG tune helps immensely, when you get on the gas it holds the gear so the RPM's can climb and you can take advantage of the torque that the tune unlocks, I was skeptical at first and wasn't even planning on the DSG tune but I am now a believer and would highly recommend it to anyone planning on going stage 1 or 2. I know you want to wait till the end of the warranty but I don't think you have much to worry about in terms of reliability and right now the tune and DSG program are on sale so I say go for it ;-)

Here's a pic I just took today after getting a set of already broken in H&R OEM Sport springs installed. I really like the ride height but it did really bring out the need for spacers. I'm thinking at least 15/20 or 20/25.

Big difference I think, even tho it's only like 1.2". I could go for 2" with the sport (non oem) but later.

nope just my DD, swerving around potholes out here takes about as much focus as tracking the car anyway

Good to hear. I am about to install my EC sways and end links next week, as well has the H&R OE springs and summers.

I got GIAC stage 2 and with winters tires on and stock suspensions. It was pretty sketchy when you hammered on the gas. It was pretty squirrely. Hopping by doing it all at once I will feel a dramatic difference.
