Just wondering if anyone ever seen oil and coolant mix since the oil filter adapter is bolted to the block, then the oil cooler (which is in reality coolant) being channeled through that aluminum looking block that attaches back to the oil filter adapter.

Just curious.

It is entirely possible depending on where the gaskets or housing are leaking.

Thanks Aluthman. So far, I noticed oil around the block and the cooler is dry. I'm fairly confident that the oil seal is corrupted and hence the block is misted in oil.

Do you think there is associated reduction in performance since there's an oil leak?

Not until you run out of oil lol. If it's like mine, the leak will probably get worse over time, so it's best to take care of it sooner rather than later.

It started this winter. I'll get it changed this spring summer.

Thanks Adam!

Mine went from an annoying drip to leaking a quart a week over the span on 4-6 weeks so you may want to at least have the parts on hand.
