This isn't meant for the typical brake squealing that results from pad-to-rotor contact. This is for applying to metal-to-metal areas in the caliper assembly to eliminate clunking and other noises. I'm running Ferodo DS2500 front pads on stock calipers and the pads come without shims (unlike the stock or most stock replacement pads). As a result, there was some clunking during low speed maneuvers that was happening after they were installed. This has gone away with an application of the CRC stuff to the outside of the pads (not the braking surface).

I have changed over to the "Wearevers" and they are quite, relatively dust free and great for daily driving.
