I recently bought Flipflops AWE touring exhaust with non res downpipes. It's great but maybe a bit too loud for me. So I was curious, can I run any downpipe or does it have to be AWE or OEM downpipes?

On that note if you have some you are looking to sell or trade please PM me.

You can definitely use the OEM downpipes and it sounds amazing. Check out the video in this thread: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/641551-B8-S4-AWE-exhaust-install-and-thoughts

Thanks Boost. I don't care what the guys say about you man. You are all right in my book.

*edit* Ya I read his thread the other day. Hence my wanting to ditch the non-res downpipe. That and I am tired of explaining to the peasantry that the exhaust is expensive and is suppose to sound like that.

LOL!

Didn't Justin explain that he was selling it because it was TOO loud? [>_<]

I concur with the previous post about throwing the OEM DPs back on... sounds incredible and you should be able to find a shop to cut/weld on the cheap [up]

Ya, he did but only cause I think he has a baby on the way. I guess I could ask some of the local shops if they have some down pipes.

No need to cut/weld. The stock downpipes are a bolt on affair with the AWE exhaust.
