Leather cracking?

I just found 3-4 small parallel cracks in the leather on the drivers side door handle. I don't wear rings or anything that could cause this so my best guess is that it's cracking from the repeated grabbing to open/close the door. Has anyone else experienced this? Warranty issue or just something to live with?

My car is a 2014 with less then 6k....

And, FTR: As long as you are under warranty, you should ALWAYS try the warranty route. What's the worst that could happen, they say no?
