I know everyone says to stay away from 'eBay' headlights, but I've always assumed they mean the angel eye headlights (which belong on beamers in my opinion). But Instead of picking up a set of Depo Ecodes on ECS for $300+ after shipping, I've been looking at a set on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Euro-Chrome-Projector-Headlights-for-99-01-Audi-A4-S4-B5-/261670009390?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAudi%7CModel%3AA4&hash=item3cecbf7a2e&vxp=mtr) for $190 shipped.

This would be perfect as it would allow funds for a Morimoto H1 retrofit as well. The seller claims they're Depo's so I just wanted the opinion of you guys if it'd be better to go with the eBay Depo's over ECS's.

Those are the "Depo" housings everyone talks about and they are amzing for the price! Identical to OEM and much better pricepoint.

Check out the Seller Rlineauto or something. They are AMAZING ebay sellers. Well known, and I buy lots of parts from them

I bought my depo ecodes on ebay for 199 shipped. 190 is a great deal, even 199 shipped is.

I love my headlights, but just wish I used clear laminx on them when I bought them. They haze up in 2 years and don't look as good.

Also be careful when adjusting them, the adjusters pop out of place if you adjust them too much.

Awesome, I planned on getting laminx to preserve them for the life of the car. Clear headlights just make cars look extremely clean.

Rodger, I tried searching Rlineauto but couldn't find them, any other suggestions? The seller of the link I posted has 99.1% positive feedback so it seems like a safe bet.

I'd go with the one you linked. Doesn't seem they have many available. Jump on it!

Clear cornered headlights look like ass. It's amber or ecodes no in betweens, or other options.

I bought my headlights from Rlinesport. They were imported into Canada as "Warranty replacement headlights" and didn't have to pay any fees :) http://www.ebay.com/itm/191189059418

I also have depos. Fair warning: be more careful with the adjustment screws than you have ever been with anything in your life.

This, totally busted them on my old headlights, and the beam ended up pointing basically straight up!

Same bulbs in pics 1 and 2. The ecodes have a cover that goes over the bulbs. And besides, the whole not having a giant hole in the side reflector is pretty cool too.

I made the mistake of clear cornering mine. Thought it looked nice at first, but now all I see now is the 3 holes in each headlight. I can't even appreciate the 'ecode' look.

Not to threadjack.. I will be replacing my stock xenon D2S housings with halogen H7 Depo's and a xenon kit (crazy, I know) but the Depo's are in MUCH better shape and I already have them from my previous car. I haven't messed with the wiring on OE xenon lights before, will it be a simple swap and hook up? I know the housings are the same fitment wise, just questioning the wiring...

Dumb move. Just refurb your OEM ones

I think one side had a leak and has yellowed on the interior and I'm not trying to open them up. I have a near new set of Depo's I can toss in. I could probably get D2S Depo housings and retain the OE xenon's but I was trying to do this on the free.

Got to find deals. I picked up both an OEM Valeo Ecode Halogen and Xenon (no ballasts or bulbs) set on ebay. Paid like $225 shipped for the Halogen and maybe $275 shipped for the Xenon. Decided to stay with the halogen and sold the Xenon on here for $400. This was years ago. Still running those halogens with an HID kit. I also remember someone I outbid send me an email after the auction and offer me more money for them. Wasn't going to happen (still on stock headlights at this time)!

Eh whatever, they work for me, saved me $200 for better stuff.
