View Full Version : Getting used to Stage 2... what other mods should I do??

Remember that feeling after the tune adapts, and you're like holyyyy sh!ttt!!!! Don't get me wrong... it still puts a smile on my face... but starting to have those "what else can I do?" thoughts.
Current mods:
APR Stage 2
Milltek resonated exhaust
EC sways/end links/AK
I'm not looking for very invasive or expensive mods, but perhaps something I haven't thought of.
I know intake is an option, and the jury (in my head) is still out on that.
Anything else?
Thanks!

It also isn't really expensive or invasive.

Intake brings out the supercharger whine too which is pretty cool.

Get a new car.
LOL
OP, what are your goals for the car? Do you want to make it as fast as possible or going for the better handling route? The question you asked is kind of silly because it depends on what YOU are looking to get out of the car. You're essentially asking us how to waste your money with suggestions that may not even benefit you. Do an intake first, roc euro is one of the best options for these cars. Look at my sig, just about every go fast mod you can do to these cars. Lightweight parts make you go faster (rotors + wheels)

Yep, I think it's inexpensive enough to do and enjoy whatever I get out of it.

I forgot about the DSG tune. Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to look into it.
Coilovers [emoji106]
On my last S4, I had my same mods, but with springs only. Bad choice. Felt like stock dampers weren't matched properly. I want to do coilovers, but after spending $7k, another $2k stings. Gotta do decent COs, new control arms are needed, and proper alignment. Decent chunk of change. But now I'm thinking about that again... [/B]
Get a new car.
Ha! Yea, this is me trying to avoid pulling the trigger on a new M3.

Silly, eh? Well, I was just thinking outloud and I appreciate everyone's input. It helped remind me of a couple things that slipped my mind as options. Just have-fun mods, really. Nothing terribly specific in terms of an agenda or goals.

Good to know about alternatives. I'll check it out!

Roc Euro style intakes are proven to provide more airflow and net around .1-.2 in the quarter mile and around 1 Mph. I would go with that, invasive, and relatively cheap.

Hmm have fun mods.. That SC whine is definitely intoxicating, go with the intake first. 4 years later and it still doesn't get old! You'll love that mod. I can't think of anything that's not overly invasive, wheels and a drop would be my next suggestion but that can get pricey depending on what setup you choose. I think h&r coils are the best choice out there if you want a drop but not lowering springs, very happy with mine. Rides close to stock and handles better than stock. Once you do that stuff you'll be left with all the more invasive mods like cooling, downpipes, brakes etc.. You've got a good start though, not that much left to do
