View Full Version : What tire pressure do you run?

In The colder climate of NJ right now, I noticed my tpms light came on while driving. It lead me to the first time of checking the tire pressure in each tire and filling (to 40lbs) and I was just curious as to what everyone runs during the winter. Also what PSI does everyone use at the track?

Thanks

summer winter is the same for me (it is harder to maintain in the winter due to bigger drops). Suggested low load by Audi for Stock 2013 s4 39/33 F/R. I use 41/35 (due to softer sidewalls on DWS tires) and to ensure I don't fall below min recommended pressure on colder days. 41 all round is too bouncy for my liking on even softest damper settings.

39 psi front and rear. BTW, the winter psi can be just the same as the summer. BUT you will have to add more air to your tires to maintain the same pressure in winter.

39 psi front / 33 psi rear. It's usually just me in the car. I don't track my car so I can't comment on that.

39 f/r measured cold in the morning. At the track I at start at 32 cold and deflate to 36-37 as soon as I come off the track.

I run 39 all around all year round. But for the winter you have to make sure you get the winter air in there so you don't get that light to come on.

I filled to 40 all around for the winter on DWS because a significant portion of my driving is done north to ski with 4 people in the car + gear.

summer on PSS I run 38f 35r because I almost never have more than 2 ppl.

36/33 is on the manual for my s4 on 255/40r19 96y XL
I ran 41 all around and it was a harsh ride.
Dropped to 38 all around and I love it.

If you hit the right pothole at the right speed on 40 psi... Good luck.

Do you reset the sensor after you deflate? I always get a low psi warning when driving home from the track. On 265 R888s I have to run high, 42ish to not dig in the sidewalls too much.
