Anyone have thoughts on the new H&R suspension kit? http://www.ecstuning.com/News/Audi_B8_RS5_HR_Street_Performance_Coilovers_2013_2 014/ES2642565/
I am considering an upgrade like this, but not sure if this is the way to go or a set of Bilstien and GMG sways, etc... The price is obviously enticing.

we've installed these kits on numerous Audis: (A4, S5, & S4s) and everyone has been very happy with the results for a great price point.

We even used these on our older A5 at the track and we were really happy with the ride comfort because of the progressive rate springs on the front & rear

I have Eurocode sways, they are beefier than H&R. I just ordered Bilstein PSS10. H&R is a nice upgrade on a S5. On a Rs5, i would the Bilstein and Eurocode. Also install the Eurocode Alue Kreuz, With the latter set-up you will be extremely happy.

the RS5 has a beefier sway bar in the rear from the factory. In my past experience with these cars when they were first released was that a stiffer rear sway bar was not needed and just made the back end too tail happy when pushing it.

My recommendation if you are wanting to upgrade the rear sway is to also upgrade the front so the car is more balanced. GMG Racing's setup all day long, we did these on a B8.5 S4 & S5 and it kept the car much flatter in the corners on the track

We run the Bilstein PSS10's on our shop S5 and really like them both on the street and on the track. Bilstein also now launched the Ride-Control coilovers and they are really nice! We are going to remove the PSS10's and replace them with these soon

Does the Bilstein adjustable kit provide a better ride than stock over rough roads? The stock rs5 suspension is too rough for me over the unmaintained roads in my area .

From what I can remember of the stock suspension, I believe the ride in comfort mode is better than stock but not by very much. I have them on my RS5.

Got em at Awe tuning for a great price. Ride height is perfect(well to me) after lowering and rides nice. Bbs wheels in a month :)

How low is your car? Im shooting for a 1 finger gap between tire and fender. Don't care for that slammed look.

I agree. I did not realize the price was so affordable on the pss10 or the new 16. I'm mulling it over.

Yes, the BR16 kit shown includes the IRC Control. And yes, this kit provides a better ride than stock especially because of the adjustibility control you have access to for the rebound and dampening controls. Not to mention full ride height control.

What's the biggest difference (other than the drop) in ride quality between the stock and h & r OE springs? I don't track the car and the ride around here sucks because the roads are all banged up here

should be about the same, maybe a bit more stiff.

This is FALSE information. You DO NOT have access to individual rebound and dampening controls with the iRC kit. The iRC kit only allows you to adjust various sensitivity settings for when it should switch between comfort and sport mode. If you spend some time with it, you can get really great results but don't listen to anyone who tells you that you have individual rebound/dampening controls...that's is not true at all.

Thanks for bringing this up because we have a misunderstanding for the function of the kit and certainly don't want to mislead anyone. The way the description read to me, I thought we had access to the adjustability settings. We have a kit coming for our car but its not here yet. Looking forward to digging into this in more detail.
