Dear audi forums,

Someone trade me a b8.5 6speed for my s-tronic.

I literally can't believe I bought an automatic I feel sick. Like my dog just died or something.

Its a '13 with 16600 on it.

Car for car. Please help. Thanks.

LOL. What is wrong with a dealership trade-in?

To be honest, you aren't making your car sound too attractive. And, somehow I dont think you are going to find any S4 manual owners willing to give up their car for an Auto.

Good Luck though. I would just find a Dealer with a manual S4 and go make the deal.

I'd be willing to trade my 11 6mt with 52k on it :)

You'd be getting a great upgrade

Lol yeah, true... I might try that. Haha your right I am not making it sound good I was kind of hoping someone was out there going "man I should have got an auto"

Wishful thinking I guess

I really like the facelift, so it would be a tough decision for an 11 but what kind if upgrade are we talking about [emoji57]

I dont know how it works in Miami, but in Canada, if I were to trade a $40k car into the dealer, and buy a $45k car, then I only pay tax on the difference. So, in that example total due would be $5k plus 13% tax = $5650 (and whatever other fees they tried to tack on)

If I were to trade the same $40k car straight up privately with someone, I would have to pay tax on the full book value. $40k*.013 tax = $5200.

So, up here, there wouldnt be much incentive in trying to trade privately. Plus, if you keep an eye on the Dealerships, you can wait until you see a car with all the options that you want.

Not sure how the whole tax thing works down there, but might be worth investigating.
