guys, i need your help becaus of "Test Pipe" and drone ...
my s4 has dsg.

so first i got the AWE touring exhaust, with stock downpipes, it was just perfect, no drone ...

last summer, one of my Catalyst were broken and gone solid, no power, gone into CEL mode you know ....

so i decided to bought the Supersprint DP or 034 TestPipe (its the same)
after that, you can call it "unleash the beast" „grin“-Emoticon ... i really impresive how much loudness the catless tube are producing ...

so, now my problem .... the catlless pipes together with the awe is drone as hell .... i have switch the orig. front resonators with 400cel cats, but it helps like nothing ...

what can i do now ?

some tell me i should switch to the AWE Resonated DP ... does someone maybe have experience with this setup ?

i hope you undestand what i mean, my english is not the best

Check your exhaust for leaks. If there aren't any leaks check the rest of your AWE system for leaks, holes, and check for any rattling/clanking noises in the rear mufflers. If that still doesn't help then get the AWE resonated downpipes.

there arent any leaks. i know the sound of Test Pipes + Stock Downpipes + AWE Tourig Exhause = Extreme Loud and Drone as Hell ...
I would like to know how big are these differences with the AWE Resonated Downpipes ?

I think any resonated AWE system is going to drone with test pipes. The Milltek resonated system is the only one that is relatively drone free with test pipes/headers.

Edit: This thread has a pretty good discussion on the resonated AWE with test pipes. Although the OP says there is no drone, I pretty sure there is some and it is fairly loud.

I've had the resonated AWE touring with EC Headers, which are catless. It was extremely loud and drones way too excessively for me.
I had to change out to Milltek Resonated exhaust, and it's definitely a lot quieter. Even quieter with the AWE resonated on stock exhaust manifold, but no drone.

With that set up you are going to have drone...

This. Even if you add the resonated downpipes it won't get rid of the drone completely. Certainly will help more than the stock downpipes though.

That's your problem, its an S-cronic [:D]
The seven speed will drone since RPM is lower at cruising speeds than manual cars, can you imagine Armytrix and headers [drive].

Sorry to hear that you're running into drone issues! Is this on a Sedan or Avant? Replacing the stock catalytic converters with something less restrictive will increase the volume of the exhaust, and can introduce more drone with systems that are prone to it. Avants are also more susceptible to drone, which is why I ask.

I just wanted to clarify here really quickly...

Our Test Pipes for the B8 Audi S4/S5 3.0 TFSI (http://store.034motorsport.com/downpipe-pair-b8-audi-s4-3-0-tfsi.html?utm_source=audizine&utm_medium=forum&utm_campaign=034-105-4013) are not the same as Supersprint's downpipes. Our were designed and manufactured here, many years ago, for APR's B8 Audi S4 race car, then tested further and released to the public. [:)]

Supersprint's parts came to the market much later and (I'm assuming) are manufactured by Supersprint. I haven't looked at their exhaust stuff much at all, to be honest.

no no don´t get me wrong, i wanted to say that your both Test Pipes look similar and there will no other exhaust sound be because differences of wall thickness or something ... for me it was easyer to get supersprint stuff in germany.
