Front Lip: DTM vs. Deval

Does anyone have any reviews on the DTM front lip offered on Modbargains? I would assume that Deval has the better quality but I can't justify paying an extra $300 for such a small part. All inputs are appreciated.

Don't know much about the DTM front lip but I had the Deval front lip & diffuser. Got a lot of complements & the quality is really good.

thanks for the response. I was just wondering if there was a difference between the two. for example, how far it sticks out or the thickness of the lip itself.

I found the dtm lip to be a bit thicker. I also like how it extends a bit further down in the middle. I'm very happy with the fit and finish of it. I say go with what looks better to you. To me the DTM design is more appealing. I bought my dtm lip from jl motoring..

I was thinking the same thing where I like the extension near where the splitter is. do you happen to have any detailed photos? your response is extremely appreciated.

I got the DTM front lip and I was extremely disappointed in the quality/paint. I've worked with carbon fiber in the past, building molds and now handling parts from CF suppliers in my current job). It did not seem like the whole lip was made with carbon fiber, however most of it is covered in black paint so it was hard to tell. Looks more like rattle canned than anything. I tried contacting ModBargains about this but they do not have any control over it and said it isn't visible so it was ok...?..??... Nothing really against ModBargains, but I would never buy DTM again. To be honest, I would love to trade mine for the Deval (hoping their quality is better) But I was too excited to slap this on my vehicle that its staying there for now. To be fair, from a distance it looks good........i'm regretting this a lot, but I doubt I will get anything for the part and lose out money trying to buy the Deval.

I wonder if the DTM lip from mod bargains is different from the one JL motoring sells. I had to wait 2.5 weeks for mine to be made and shipped to me. My lip is flawless.. sucks to hear you didn't get what you paid for

It was rather heavy as well for a CF piece IMO...but what do I know of CF parts lol

Dunno man, guess you just got a bad piece.. At 500, you can expect a good quality piece. Its not as nice as the enlaes bits but surely shouldn't be poorly made at that price either. I wouldve contacted mod bargains before installing it but thats me. You mentioned that most of your lip was covered in black paint?? There is no black paint on mine whatsoever, just carbon fiber with a uv protected clear coat.
