Hooray, finally got some new speakers to replace the horrible 4"s in the doors of my A4. I bought some 5.25" A/D/S 325is's off ebay..

They seem to have decent midbass.. as I tested them with my super high tech box. This has to be one of the ghettoest things I have ever done, but I had 10 minutes of free time and really wanted to hear them. [:D]

[:D] Lol sorry just had to show somebody how ghetto this is.

hahaha, onemoremile, good one.

most 5.25s fit easy. just u have to fab some brackets to mount..which is also easy if u have an osh or something nearby. let us kno how they sound. [cool]

Right now I don't have an amp to power them with. I'll see how they sound off the headunit and go from there. I'm gonna go buy some stuff to make brackets right now.

Ugh, I used some plumbing straps to mount them, what a PITA. I'm gonna buy some fiberboard tomorrow to make baffles. Right now I only have the passanger speaker in, and it's kinda free-air because it's not sealed like the stock one was. It still sounds better than stock, way less distortion on bass notes. Hopefully I will get a little bit more bass when I get a baffle on it.
