2015 Sepang RS7 Arrived! Off to the Mod List!!!

So after the 4 month wait, my car finally arrived and I will be taking delivery within the next few days in Scottsdale, AZ.

I took the bold route and went with the Sepang Blue. As an ex nogaro blue audi owner, I'm curious to see how I will like this color. Now I'm faced with my second favorite part of getting a new car (first of course is being behind the wheel): Mapping out the mod schedule!!!

Here's what I have so far:

Month 1:

1. Ceramic Pro Coat - 5 Layers of 9H plus 1 Layer Light on entire vehicle, including pipes, wheels, etc.
2. Tint - Been a few years since I have gone to a tint shop, what are the hottest options/brands out right now? Any suggestions?
3. Installation of my Blinder HP-905 Laser Defense System / Hardwire my V1
4. Decide and order wheels: Thinking Brixton Forged, HRE's or ADV.1 - could use suggestions here...looking to go hard with the black and blue theme, so black or dark charcoal would be my preference on finish. Any thoughts? Ideally would not like to spend more than 7500 which may make HRE's out of the equation.

Month 2:

1. APR Tune
2. Addition of the Milltek Cat Replacement Pipes (NOT FULL CAT SYSTEM) - Does anyone have this setup? How is the sound over stock? I am combining these with the sport exhaust option and DRC that came with the vehicle.
3. Front and rear sway bars and links
4. Lower ride estimated 1.25"

Month 3:

???

Haven't figured it all out yet, was hoping to get some thoughts from the community and will post progress! Either way, some real serious fun is ahead of me and I can't wait to join the RS community, one that I have been dreaming of joining ever since my first Audi.

Just want to chime in on the tint. 3M Chrystalline is the bees knees. You'll really appreciate the heat and UV reduction in AZ.

Beautiful car! first thing I notice is the actual carbon fiber mirrors...damn you Audi (and the money I have had to spend to get the replicas and finally have the same look that was supposed to be on my car but Audi ran out of parts last year and dropped them from the carbon package)... anyway fantastic color on the car. Makes me wish I had been more brave but with the car being as fast as it is on the interstate I probably would be in jail already if I had a bright color. It will be a beast with what you are planning.

Yeah, I had a Milltek system in the past on my V8 S4 and the non-res sound is awesome. What I'm battling with is the fact I already forked out the 1500 or whatever on the sport exhaust from Audi. I understand you can go half way and buy the cat replacement pipes from Milltek for $1300 but not sure how that will affect the sound of my car...also requires a stage 2 remap I'm told??? I just need to find someone who has that setup and see what they have to say. If I don't get any concrete info, I might just bite the bullet and follow your lead, haha.

If I can ever get some time at home to get my Milltek installed I'd be happy to shoot some video for you so you can hear it. I have a full turbo back exhaust (catless pipes, non-res exhaust ) ready just need to get done and my APR software updated.

You know, I was worried that the mirror issue was going to affect my car too. That's funny cause the first thing I looked at was that they were in fact carbon, haha...sigh of relief.

That's exactly what i was thinking. My new RS7 has been in the shop 2 months now for a complete engine teardown and rebuild due to a bunch of manufacturing deficiencies. I wonder if they would have done it if the ecu was tuned?

Yessir! At least that is what I'm told and what was ordered, although the ordering descriptions were slightly confusing.

Not yet, but I will have her soon and I trust that I will take better pics with my 5DIII than the dealer and his iPhone. I'll be tracking progress. It is always nice to get the educated opinion of fellow members. I'm particularly excited for the headliner, thats a feature I haven't seen in person yet on this model.

Yeah, you know, I've been going back and forth on that. Part of the reason is that I want to add some variation of the Milltek exhaust system early and the options I will elect for may require the stage 2 remap. I never really keep cars past three years and I get a little bummed when I'm in the beginning of year two and finally add something awesome, knowing I won't have as much time enjoying the part if I just went HAM in the first place. But that is good information for me to have and I will take that into consideration. Perhaps it is a good idea to put some a few thousand miles on her first before jumping the gun.

So either way, congrats on yoru new RS7. I love the Sepang as I mentioned in the PM. There is so many amazing color combos you can do with different wheel styles. We have done everything from Satin Bronze on Sepang to Charcoal Grey.

I haven't seen anyone fit the Milltek delete pipes with the new sport exhaust yet, but I suspect this would liven up the sound quite a bit. You could always add the cat-back Milltek later. There will be a shipment with these items coming stateside in about a week or so it sounds like:

As for wheels, if you like to maintain a genuine appearance I think the RSQuattro SL wheels could look amazing with the sepang and dark accessories/trims on the car:
