On my B5 the clutch was slowly wearing off and engaging higher and higher to the point where it was sometimes difficult to start on incline without rolling back a but. However, as I was driving the car, suddenly started feeling the clutch engaging way too low. Almost as you lift it from the floor, it's already fully engaged. It stays this way for now permanently. Why the sudden change and what could be the issue?

I did some research around and so far the first things to check is may be bleeding the master/slave cylinder or failed master cylinder. Never done this before but some pointers if I'm going in the right direction are appreciate

Worth the click [cool]

Just bleed it at the slave cylinder. Probably a bad cylinder. If bleeding does not help, replace the clutch slave first. Much easier to replace than the Master. If replacing slave does not fix it, replace master. But I don't want you wasting your money either, and throwing your money at parts.
