anyone ever bought one of these FMIC's off ebay before?

it looks a little too cheap to be true.

would the 20.5x9x2 3/8" fit with trimming?

ive seen 8" tall ones run on our cars, but wasnt sure about the extra height

Yeah, I think we went over this before. People said the welding was shady at best...something like that.

yeah welding was on the one i bought...the one i have now i bought a core and the end tanks..and had the people at turboauto in nashville TN put it together...it was still much cheaper then a kit...and they do great work

search for Jon1.8t on Audiworld. He bought one from johnnyracecar.com and the weld was perfect. Price is incredible, and the quality overall is even better.

thanks, i figured there would be a quality issue here.

i have my eye on a johnnyracecar IC already.

what do you guys with home made IC kits use for piping?

yah wtf do you use for piping??? those foil tubes that come out of my dryer??

definitely not the foil tubes! there is pressure in these lines! you need to get some exhaust piping and fab something up by either cutting and welding or cutting and silicone connectors... or you cuold go the ghetto route and find some big big radiator hose that works for you.. I've known many a person to do that on a 'honda'... but..
