View Full Version : Tuned S6 Stock RS7 comparison.

Has anybody driven both? One after another? I'm curious to know how close to a stock RS6/7 a GIAC or APR S6 is? I would like to upgrade to the RS, but financially it would be a whole lot cheaper to bite the bullet and tune the S-6 and damn to the warranty. I want that 550 or so horsepower but I can't decide whether I should sell my firstborn child for an RS or suck it up and void the warranty on the powertrain with the tune. seems to me it would come about equal if an engine blew in the S6...

Well I have rs6 turbos on my s6 feel free to pm me and I can give you all the pros and cons
A stock rs7 looses from a dig but makes up mid and top. I've raced a buddy's tuned s6 and confirmed this. Both APR stage 1. S6 turbos don't flow near as much up top.
How much do the RS6 turbos go for?

Only went once when it was 30* couldn't hook, 1.9 60's my trap was good for high 10' s bought r888 and will be in fla for winter so I will be in the 10's questions is how deep

So you figure the S6 with a tune and an intake can stay with a bone stock RS7 from the line on up to ~100 before it starts to fall back? .
Confused So the RS and the S were both tuned APR stage 1? I assume the RS7 destroys the S6 at that point yes?
If I put the 93 or 100 octane tune mode on, yes.

Sure look like super cars on Friday the 9th have to work first but they are open till 10pm that day
