A7 is not slow to begin with and yes, it's very likely that the other guy can't drive too. Manual sucks when the driver can't operate it properly.

I one against my buddies Stage I modded 13 STI. He's stage III now and dyno'd pretty much the same as my S7 stock. Pretty sure he can take me now unless he messes up his launch (manual). Launch Control from a dead stop my be my edge. Does his STI have launch control?

The one I raced had launch control... He engaged it, because I could hear the revs climb right before green...

I had mine in sport and just punched it... He jumped half a car at first but the slow pass started once he went to shift.

Yeah the Sti has about 1k lb weigh advantage... Although they are slow to spool, a decent driver can keep those 0-60 in the 4's stock.... Boy I miss mine... Except when I'm driving to work... I don't miss the ride quality.
