If only you had been selling these when I was looking for them... I ended up with A6 E-codes instead. PM me if you can't get them sold and maybe we can make a deal.

Seriously considering, few questions:
did you have to take apart/reseal to replace projector lens?
does the euro version still uses 1157 type turn signal bulb?
would I get a dipped light warning installing manual switch in 01 Allroad?
and
coul I just install without manual height switch, would they operate correctly/warning?
Thank you

1) did you have to take apart/reseal to replace projector lens?
Yes I had opened these up to replace the lenses and new bowls and reseal it back
2) does the euro version still uses 1157 type turn signal bulb?
yes they use same 1157 type bulb on these corners no longer light up like on US spec only turn signal works

3) would I get a dipped light warning installing manual switch in 01 Allroad?
and
could I just install without manual height switch, would they operate correctly/warning?

if you car came equipped with autoleveling and install these the warning will come on, there are two options : a) if you want to have manual adjustment, you will need to recode with vagcom modules in car to eliminate the error, b) I can get the auto leveling motors and install to these headlights , I can get them locally they are about $170 cdn or 140 usd , so if I keep existing motors and headlight switch and you cover $40 usd extra , then you will get the headlights with autoleveling then when installing you might perform this procedure http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/xenonalignment.html and align electronically and manually via screw

This may be an off the wall question. Why would an allroad with auto-leveling suspension need auto leveling headlights?

Auto leveling headlight is for aiming light beam and keep it toward the road , even if you have leveling suspension you can't independently level it back and front so if you rear is load up with stuff you can't make to raise the rear to keep the headlight beam on the road this is why you have auto-leveling headlights they do it for you automatically , in europe the manual leveling came standard , auto-leveling was a option ,

I guess I am the lucky buyer. Bottom mounts were glued so badly they both fell of on my first attempt to install. Took me a while to figure out how to fix the mounts, and finally lights went in today.. Both lights are leaking, dipped lights error on dashboard, vag-com scan tells that leveling motors shorted or open circuit.

That sucks, just went through a similar experience with a BBK. Left a real sour taste and very skeptical of buying used parts.

So you are the person who bought my lights .
As I mention mounts have been repaired or improvised they were outlined there was nothing hidden here, I send them to you with foam insert on each mount to protect , I had them and had no issues, I got them like that originally few years back repaired them..
second you mention leaks ? personally I didn't have any leaks they were opened because I have replaced the projectors with clear lenses as I mention that on both ads, but did you opened them yourself as you were requesting me to open for you before shipping which I declined
as to dipped lights error did you re-learn that through vagcom ? there is a procedure I believe on ross tech to re-learn , you didn't email me you should of asked...

As for tabs.. Side mount on one light is repaired properly, solid as a rock. Both lights bottom tabs were "glued" with yellow polyurethane foam, which is a joke. Someone could use a chewing gum as well. I have to give you some credit for packaging, tabs survived the shipping because they were packaged well. I did not expect perfect lens condition on a old light but looks like it was badly polished before, and then clearcoated. Clearcoat started yellowing, and there were some fairly deep pitting under it. So I had no choice but remove the lenses (they were removed before and badly sealed, so that was easy) Used 220 grits wet sandpaper to remove the pitting, then 500, then 800, then 3000 wet again, then final polishing. Spend almost 2 hours just to make lens look OK. Then sealed headlights with properly with hot butane rubber sealer (not silicone like they were). So the lens are unlikely to leak. On the back though there are 3 little breathers, that supposed to have U shaped nipple hoses attached to them. Only one of these hoses (lower ones) on each headlight still have the hoses rest are missing. I did not expect to get a perfect pair of headlights for $400, but what I got more like $150, maybe $200 pair. Plus I need to figure out what goes with leveling motor wiring.. Anyone has Allroad specific headlight pinout or electrical diagram? A6 would not work, totally different leveling motors.

I was going to respond differently but I will withheld from it but
you are were getting the same error you had in 2013 what happened there ?
here is your original post..
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/524194-Looking-for-help-with-aftermarket-headlights-on-2001-Allroad
I have even responded to your post

you have issue with your car original leveling module or something else is wrong... the motors are brand new , and based on the group level they are getting power..
As to price you bought them through ebay, if you responded through audizine I probably would of sold them cheaper selling through ebay is not cheap plus paypal fees

I would go along with that explanation ( every troubleshooting advice is appreciated), but my original headlights, though in bad cosmetic condition, work great, no errors. I also tried to swap motors between them (exact same part number on the motors). Did not help, so I assume wiring inside headlight is a problem.

You only four wires to trace from motor to headlights connector compare to original you have never responded to original posting

Had to switch two little blue wires around and reset the errors with vag-com, looks OK now. Last thing is to figure how to stop water getting into them.
