Cleaning out the shop today I found this B5 carbon fiber manual shifter surround. It wrapped up and ready to ship. It's done in a 1x1 plain carbon fiber. It is the only one I available.

Price: $150

Shipping: $5 via USPS Priority - Canadian is $25 - International is $35.

Core deposit: $50 - this is fully refundable if you return your original trim back to us.

Email me at matt@ocarbon.com if you have any other questions or if you'd like to grab one.

I meant full facelift, the half facelift trim rises up more at the ashtray end. It's a pretty important distinction and not everyone knows that.

Yes because being able to identify menial trim pieces that have no effect on the car is a clear indicator of one's mechanical ability.

Calm down, get off your high horse.

They really don't look that different. You seem to get your jollies over insulting people for not knowing the difference between trims on a 15 year old car.

Just relax man. The first guy was just helpfully pointing something out for those who may not know. You act like we're working with nukes here. Chill.

Indeed. I once got a chance to look at both side to side. It was at that very moment that I realized I had bought the wrong trim piece. Ha!

To add some actual useful information here, I will say that (for the North American Market) the Carbon Trim posted here will only fit 2000 and 2001 model year B5's with manual transmission. There is different trim for 96-99 manual, and a very special half-model-year-only trim for the 99.5's. (If anybody needs that particular trim, let me know. I got an extra!)

I obviously wouldn't sell this particular shifter to someone who owned a car that it wouldn't fit on, but we can custom make anything to fit on any vehicle.

This is what the 99.5 shifter looks like, for those of you that are curious. Similar, but not the same.

If price is your only concern, I totally agree with you. Real carbon fiber is never going to come close to the price of any fake vinyl sticker because of the cost of materials and time required to manufacture it.

Much rather buy actual parts than something that looks pretty.

Lol hey you never know. If he wanted to get rid of it he may have let it go for that, I'm sure it looks great collecting dust. [;)]
