Didn't like the silver trim so decided to get it carbon dipped aka Hydro-graphics, so thought id share
In total got 6 pieces done, all 4 door trims, center console and 1 passenger side dash trim
Paid £120 (uk) but i removed the trim, all were easy apart from center console, it was a B***h but found a guide online. just awkward angled screws.
here is some before and after pics. hope you like

there you go bud, just take your time and get a buddy to help when actually removing the console out of the car..
also be care full when when fitting back in, easy to scratch the new surface, cover it up with some type of cloth.
for the price you cant go wrong equals to just 190 US dollars

I just posted about getting CF stone-guards. This will save me a ton of $$!!! Nobody will get low enough to them to tell the difference and I'd hate to ruin one anyway, so this is perfect. Thanks for sharing!

No i removed the trim myself and handed it into a shop, think to do it yourself you need a lot of practice. few vids on youtube about it

Unless those photos are deceiving, this looks very similar to the OEM carbon finish. This seems like a very good alternative to the other aftermarket CF option(s) currently well known on this forum when evaluating price versus final aesthetic result.

I think I am going to have my two supercharger covers along with the gauge/MMI cover done!! Your stuff looks amazing!! I'm just wondering if the stuff will hold up to the engine compartment heat?

I am not a fan of the faux carbon fiber look whatsoever. Faking it on your $60,000+ car just doesn't make any sense IMO. In your photos it does look pretty decent from far away but you can tell it has no depth in comparison to real carbon fiber. Nothing can replace the real thing.

When you say hard, how hard was it to change the center

I normally agree, but since no one except "Senner" in Germany makes the two supercharger covers in CF (and they are $850 for the set), there isn't much of an option!! And I have been told by two different CF experts that any CF that will cover the supercharger or other hot engine components, will yellow after time! Sooooo.....

I can understand it on the engine cover.
But trim? Nope.

It would only be on the gauge/MMI surround. I have had several Bow risers (archery) done and it is much deeper looking than you would imagine! I have also seen it look completely flat and dull, even with a glossy over coat. Really depends on the company doing the work. One of my bows looks just like you could reach into it and touch the CF fibers!!
