View Full Version : S5 Solid Motor Mounts

Hey everyone,

I just had my valves cleaned and two injectors replaced and my 2009 S5 still is misfiring (or something very similar) at high RPMS. When I first got it back it was okay but a week later now it's back. The check engine light flashes when it happens but never stays on.

Anyway, when I first got it diagnosed I was told a motor mount was throwing a code but not a CEL. I keep reading that a broken engine mount can cause these hesitation problems i'm feeling in the higher RPMs.

I just found these http://store.034motorsport.com/motor-mount-street-density-line-b8-audi-a4-s4-a5-s5-q5-sq5.html (I hope i'm allowed to link) that were released a few days ago.

Does anyone think this is a good path to go down and how hard are they to change myself?

EDIT: Looks like these are only good for the 3.0s. Why is a V6 in this car?! My question about the motor mount fixing the hesitation is still valid though.

The same company making those mounts say a V8 version is in the works. See the link below.
