Howdy

So, I was looking at my friends RS the other day, and his car has front and rear caliper covers that say RS, and his are actually red. My car's option sheet shows that it has red calipers...but...ill let the pictures do the rest of the talking

What should I do? I just bought the car maybe 3 months ago. I feel the dealership should either send me the proper calipers, or refund me an amount equivalent to what it will take for me to get them. Which leads to my next question, where do i get them?

Show your dealership your build sheet with Red calipers option and demand them to make it right my friend.

not sure if serious or...lol

I think i will take it up with the dealer first, and if there are extensive issues perhaps with the company who owns the dealer, and if that doesn't work then maybe escalate to audi USA.

Shouldn't the black calipers on the back still have RS cover? weird that they don't have anything, albeit red or not

Even the non-red calipers have RS logo so your case is very legit for dealership to step up and correct their fault.

If the dealership doesn't cooperate, I'd call AoA and open a case. They are usually very helpful: 877-615-2834.

so i looked at option sheet from VIN, no red calipers, but the listing i bought from had red. oh well, typo.

if there are not red calipers, should the rear calipers have an RS cover? or do mine look as they should?

I don't think so. I don't recall the rear calipers have RS logo.

Wouldn't the red calipers clash with your bronze wheels?

They may have ordered it that way originally...there was a delay in production in the first run of cars that if they ordered the red calipers they got to wait three more months...some people I'm sure when contacted about that said skip the calipers and get me the car. I know this since my first RS7 I ordered was in the first batch to be built but was delayed for exactly these...so your dealer in order to get the car sooner probably told Audi to skip them on their car. I didn't so it indeed showed up 3 months after everyone else here got theirs. I by that time had ordered the car I have now so I could get the dynamic package/DRC.

Technically it had a double delay for the carbon fiber exterior package that if you had the Quattro script you got to wait for that too. Audi had a few supplier problems early on.

understood, i do have that CF package with quattro, so maybe they supplied that and not calipers. who knows.

I think the calipers would look good with your wheels (which are REALLY nice BTW... Did you powdercoat them?)

Have you called the dealer yet??? Any updates?

i have not had a chance yet to do it, but the option sheet does not show red, their online ad did at the time. i may ask just to see if i can get something, but don't expect anything at all.

wheels are plastidipped a custom color by pearls and pigments in houston tx, appreciate the compliments

They've improved a lot and their customer service got better. They are called now audi of morton grove, moved a block away and built a badass new building.
