I looked through the list stickied and saw mostly performance shops, so I was hoping someone in So Cal can recommend me a shop that does quality work with reasonable pricing. I'm trying to get my B8.5 A4 bumper resprayed Brilliant Black and have received quotes ranging from $450 all the way up to $650 which just sounds like a rip off. I'm in Downey, but willing to drive if the savings are worth it. Any help is appreciated. I'm over driving around with a busted looking Audi.[:(]

I'd be weary of any shop that low balls you. I had my rear bumper resprayed earlier this year because someone tapped me again (after just previously replacing the rear bumper cover and upgrading to the S-Line!) Second time around came to around $800 for the respray.

Shop is Gray's Auto Body in Newhall. I consider myself quite particular, especially when it comes to my ride. He's worked on all three of my cars and i have been very pleased each time. Best thing you can do is check out the shops on-line reviews and ask to see some of their completed work.

A quality paint job that will last is not easy or cheap to come by..If you don't care, just go wherever is cheaper and it might work out to just get resprayed all the time if cheap enough. I can't say because I haven't had new paint for long enough to but C&C in Alhambra is supposed to do an excellent job. The Marcos chains seem to be pretty good too.

My car also got rear ended last week. Nothing major, just bumper respray and valance replacement. Coincidentally, insurance sent me to this place. Correction, it's Gary's Auto Collision Center in Newhall. There's another Gary's Auto Body but that one is in Northridge. Gary was chill and we even talked about your car among other stuff we chatted.

Interesting because usually I go in the opposite direction the insurance company refers me to. LOL. What originally impressed me was the fact that Gary's (yes in Newhall) was a small shop. My previous car had been in a pretty significant collision. The shop I had taken that car to at the time was like a mill. Rush it in, rush it out. If you tell Gary you are particular, I think he'll even pay that extra attention to detail and yes he's an enthusiast!

Sorry to hear of your accident. Please let us know how you make out.

Normally, that's what i would've done. But i remembered this thread when insurance was giving me the info (Thanks for posting!). So i just decided to check it out.

Just brought it on last Saturday for estimate. Waiting for insurance approval now so i can take it in for the repair.
