All,
I got the new black oak/aluminum inlays in my 2015 S5, any thoughts on how to care for them? I'm worried they may crack/dry out over time - especially having them in a cabriolet.

They are coated with plastic resin, right?
I use http://www.brillianize.com/ on anything that is hard and plastic coated in my car to avoid any kind of scratches. (instrument cluster, inlays, black plastic trim, MMI screen)
I am not sure if there is anything that moisturizes plastic, but this cleaner is defiantly the way to go as far as cleaning hard plastic in you car.

I'd say you would be safe with some sort of guitar polish. I use Ernie Ball Wonder Wipes for the walnut trim bits in my Q5. For what its worth, the wood bits in my Q5 seem to have a similar acrylic lacquer finish to what a lot of guitars and basses have.
