Hello again,

I just finished replacing my 2.0TFSI engine (2006 BPG to 2007 BWT) [wrench] [:D]. Got to drive it around the block. Unfortunately the CEL light has come on for 16629/P0245/000581 (Solenoid Valve (A) for Boost Pressure Control (N75): Short to Ground) [:(], I have checked the fuses, relays and the valve. I suspect it is the wiring. The connector that goes to the N75 seems to be correct with the pin on the flat side going to ground, The connector to the (Cut off valve?) has the pin on the flat side with 5.8K ohms to ground. My old wiring harness has it 0 ohms to ground. When the car is turned on the situation is switched where the N75 connector has 5.8k to ground. Also the voltage is 3.5v,3.3v for the pins for the cut off valve. I don't know what is going on and cannot find a wiring diagram, does anyone have one or has any ideas on what to do next [confused] ?

Also I let the car idle for awhile to make sure none of the coolant hoses will leak/blow off, I remember the temp guage usually being a little past 1/4, now it gets to 1/2 and the fans don't even kick in yet. Temp was 93C before I got uncomfortable and turned it off.

Thanks for your time,

Did you label everything? The cut off valve and n75 use the same connector, you might have switched them around. Otehrwise check the wiring it might be pinched somewhere.

Coolant should go to 1/2 and stay there without fans. that sounds healthy. 93C is 199F and that is totally ok. 1/2 mark is a range of temperatures from 190-220F so you are in the perfect place with coolant.

Thanks for the reply. My cut off valve and corresponding connector both have notches in them preventing a potential mix up. I will check the wiring again tomorrow but I do not think I missed anything. I forgot to mention this important detail: I have the EVAP hose from the turbo disconnected due to the nipple on the valve cover being broken off (engine came that way). From what I have looked into it shouldn't be related to this issue, I am unfamiliar with Turbos though.

bump. I got all the diagrams but still have not been able to figure out where the problem is. I will be buying a new relay just in case. I tried a spare one and it didnt work either. Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. I will be taking to the stealership if I cant figure it out by Wednesday. Need a reliable vehicle before winter.
