Winter tire sizes that will fit???

I am searching for winter tires online and found a great deal on a set of blizzaks. my b7 requires 235/40R18's, however the tires are 235/50R18. will these fit okay? or will they rub? it is a thicker profile so I wasn't sure. if anyone has a list of tire sizes that I can fit on here that would be great. (besides the original size)

The tire will be just under 1" taller. If you're not lowered at all, I think it would fit, but check the clearance on your car inside the fender before pulling the trigger. Your speedometer will be off as well with the larger rolling diameter.
