My neighbor offered me a trade of my Rzr800 for his base model silver b7 a4 2.0t manual trans with black CLOTH interior w/ 92k miles. First time I have ever seen a cloth interior. I would just be reselling the car. Is this just like the horrid step child and impossible for me to get a good price on the resale or do you personally know anyone who would actually buy a cloth interior stick shift silver b7. What do you guys think the value might be? 7k? any help would be great

It does make for a cheaper entry level car to someone. My first audi was:
FWD (not too desirable)
Silver (not very desirable)
cloth (most want leather)
no sunroof
manual
Loved it, but I outgrew it with all the stuff I knew I couldve had. I got the bare minimum for an excellent condition car.

How much is your RZR800 worth?
I'm almost certain that all the cloth interior cars are base FWD models and thus not desirable nor worth much at all.
Is the A4 manual or CVT/auto? How many miles?

manual 92k miles. I have the rzr up at 6k, would take 5500. The A4 was woman owned, has most receipts from the dealer. Only needs a brake light switch

Haha Dammit, and I'm always the one yelling at people for not reading... Fail.
Nonetheless, we need to know how much his utility vehicle is worth in order to know if it's a good trade.
It depends on your area re: value, but honestly I'd guess maybe $6,500 for it... I don't think selling it will be too hard in LA.

lol, I'll gladly admit to posting dick-ish comments when people don't read. Yours wasn't, but even if it would have been, I wouldn't care because I was being stupid haha.

If the lowside selling price is 6500 id probably do the deal, need to make 1k for the extra effort and time but still so iffy on the cloth interior. I personally wouldnt consider buying an audi with cloth personally.

I'd say that $6,500 is likely on the high side. It depends how saturated your market is I guess.
The bright side is the mileage is pretty low. Someone may just want a newer Audi and may not care about the seats etc... I feel like quattro isn't as big a deal in LA. In the midwest it blows to sell a FWD Audi.

True. Unless the buyer is an enthusiast, they generally won't care about Quattro. I'd say at least half if not more used B7s are fwd and that doesn't seem to affect resale out here all that much.

A guy ended up handing me cash today for the RZR so I guess no Audi trade. Thanks for the info though, it helped me out. I am going to pass on the info to my neighbor since he will be selling the car soon.

By cloth, do you mean alcantara?

No, probably like regular European (non sline seats).

If the seat were alcantara they'll be as expensive and almost as desired as the leather seats' option. They must be regular cloth seats.
There was a guy a couple years back who's mom had cloth seats (A4orce84). Here is a link to his picture:

I would love to have Alcantara full interior including pillars, head liner, door panels, steering wheel, shiftknob and shiftknob's boot! :D
