2015 Audi S4 w/Bilstein PSS10, RocEuro Intake, P3 Gauge, Armytix Exhaust, Avant Garde Wheels, and more...

This 2015 Sepang Blue S4 came to us shortly after delivery. Immediately we put on the Bilstein suspension and SPC control arms. Under the hood we did a RocEuro intake and Eurocode BoostTap for the supercharger. Poking out the back are optional blue tips from the wicked loud Armytrix exhaust. Inside we did a P3 gauge, and last but not least, a set of Avant Garde wheels. A unique color combination throughout.

Yes, will be de-badging the car and getting rid of the awful V6T badges. Completely forgot to request them to be removed when I had the XPEL Ultimate done.

The car does have tint. Photosync tint, which is totally awesome and loving it so far. It goes as dark as 35% but adapts to sunlight.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! GMP did a fantastic job with the car and this is just Phase 1!!! More work to be done! Plan on doing a gloss black RS mesh front-grille, carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, and stage 2 tune w/ pulley. Any suggestions are welcome! [up]

Nice work... I'm guessing this particular S4 does not have the sport diff? What prevents the Armytrix exhaust from being installed on vehicles with sport diff?

GMP Performance
02-24-2015, 02:46 PM
this car actually has the sport diff. We had to do some custom fabrication to get this exhaust to fit correctly. I should be able to post some of the custom fabrication work we did to basically shape this rear section to curve underneath the sport diff since with a direct bolt on, it rubs against the HUGE sport diff and could be a big issue for vibration down the road. This ended up being a clean install and we even worked directly with Armytrix to make them aware of the situation for future exhaust sales on these newer B8.5 chassis w/ sport diffs

I intend to! I browsed hundred of images of black optics and ultimately decided against it. Wheels, suspension, APR Stage II, and possibly the Armytrix. I want the OEM RS4 grill in gunmetal and RS4 bumper but we all know how involved and expensive that can be.

I need a new bumper and was looking at Xenonz UK. They have an RS4 bumper that will fit directly on a face lifted S4. It costs about 1090 english pounds to be shipped to the US. You should check it out, it looks good in the pictures they sent me.

Once you go lower than audi's designed height, in order to have correct camber you need adjustable control arms so you can align your car correctly (correct me if im wrong)

Sorry for the late response gents, I haven't been on the forums in quite some time. Trying to get back to everyone's questions and posts in this one giant reply. LOL!

This is very appealing and interesting.

So are you saying that the tint changes from clear to 35% dark?

Yes, sir! It's pretty amazing and adapts to solar intensity. It costs a pretty penny versus traditional tint but after having 20% tint for over 12 years and having to roll my windows down at night in order to see, i decided that a max tint of 35% might not look as cool as 20% but would be much more practical. http://www.prestige-films.com/auto_photosync.shtml

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, I'm at 4,100 miles and have been itching to get the tune done. I might not be able to wait till 10k after all. Haha. Yes, please do let me know when you are in Charlotte. Started going to a bunch of the meets with a great group of VW/Audi guys and it's been a blast!

Hmm... Might have to make the drive to Charlotte as soon as my car arrives [s4][s4][s4] and get some fish tacos in NoDa while I'm waiting. How long does the install take and is your shop open on the weekends?

Fish Tacos in NoDa! Great call! The shop is sometimes open on Saturdays. Can't remember if it's every other Saturday or not. But call GMP (888) 488-2028 and ask to speak to either Alan or Adam. They'll take care of you!

http://www.ecodetuning.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1994

Yes, that is also on my list, as well as the swaybars. Alan and Adam at GMP insist that they should be included in the next install, "phase 3." Lol. I was initially concerned with the ride becoming too stiff with the beefier swaybars and drivetrain stabilizer but apparently they do not and simply reduce the body roll and lean of the car during turns and make the car "tighter." Apparently, there's a sale going on with the sway bars too, so I might be doing this soon!

That looks great tastefully done[evilsmile]

Thank you very much! [:)]

Any drone from Armytrix setup?

Nope, not at all. Having a DSG, I thought that there might be a bit of drone but actually not at all! Very impressed with this system. Even the techs and staff at GMP were impressed with the build quality of the product...and they mostly deal with APR, HMS, Capristo and Akrapovic products. So, that's saying something. No drone at all in any rev band and it's amazingly quiet on Auto mode and Off mode. And when you want to let it rip, insanely loud!

Thanks, bpang! Yeah, they're not quite light but at least lighter than stock. If you don't need a unique wheel finish/color, then there are some good options for wheels that look similar but are lighter. With those though, you are usually limited to the traiditional hyper-silver, gunmetal or black.

What kind of finish you looking for and what's your budget, if you don't mind my asking?

For sure! I will be out of town this weekend but will be going to the Chapter 11 meet next Tuesday. You should come! V-dubs and Audi meet! Yes, the Armytrix is my favorite mod thus far. It's impressively loud and make the S4 sound like a monster!

I haven't noticed any noise at all to be honest. The Bilstein coilovers and control arms have completely changed the car and 100% for the better with no cons thus far!

To be honest, I honestly cannot remember how much of a drop it is. Maybe one of the gents at GMP can chime in or I can measure when I get home. Offset is 35mm. Wheels are 19x9.5. Very happy with the set-up as there is no rubbing, low but not too low and it's very flush with the car. Thank you!

Just got my external mic for my recently purchased Gopro Hero 4 black! So, I will be making vids soon enough. I have a wedding to go to this weekend, so might be a little bit. But I will certainly post as soon as I can!

So, I am very torn as to which color to go with for a RS -type mesh front grille.

Either the matte silver or gloss black. Using the two following threads to try to determine. Great examples of the two different colors on two sepang blue RS5's. Keep in mind, I have bronze rims and may do carbon fiber trim down the road...

Matte Silver Mesh

Gloss Black Mesh

I was incorrect in my previous comment. The offset is NOT 35, it is actually 40.

Just measured the heights yesterday. I measured from the ground to the highest point of the fender above the center point of the wheel.

Front: Just under 25.5". Approx 25.4"
Rear: Exactly 25.5"

I've had no issues with this height in terms of rubbing or hitting bumps or scrapping steep driveways. Aesthetically it looks really great and the car sits nicely. However, after having 4 people in the car and some luggage in the trunk last weekend, I saw how low the car was and how close it was to rubbing. Fortunately it was only highway driving, so no issues. So, for practicality and daily driving, I may have them raise the front like an 1/8th of an inch and the rear 1/3rd of an inch.

Cheers!

I've always loved the Black Optics look, but if you go with the gloss black, I'd wrap the window trim as well. If you plan on leaving the window trim, then my vote is for the Matte Silver. Car's looking great though!

Yeah, that's a great point. What I've decided to do at this point is to go ahead and get the gloss black front grille. Because it seems that no one has been able to find a good quality matte silver grille and had to have them painted. So, I figure I'll see how the gloss black looks and if I like, determine whether or not I need to wrap the window trim. If I end up being "enh" with the gloss black grille, then I'll have it painted matte silver and leave it at that!

I can't remember who but someone on Audizine got a black front grille and then just painted the front part of the grille matte silver, leaving the inside of the mesh black. I thought that was clever and it did look nice. So, that is also another option.

Thanks for your suggestions and thank you for your kind words! [up]

Sorry for the delay everyone but finally was able to put together a video with different clips of the Armytrix exhaust in action.

Please be kind, my first time ever using the GoPro and editing a vid like this. Good learning experience though and looking forward to putting together some more vids in the future...and better ones at that! [:D]

Set-Up
Mounted the GoPro to the dash, just above the MMI. Not the best set-up bc slightly at an angle and not flat. Will figure out better placements. Would like to get one over the shoulder to capture instrument cluster and such.
Ran external mic through the pass-through, out the trunk and attached the license plate with provided clip. Taped down with electrical tape for added security!

Hardware
GoPro Hero4 Black Edition
GoPro Flex Jaw Clamp
VidPro External mic w/ windscreen

Sorry for the late response gents, I haven't been on the forums in quite some time. Trying to get back to everyone's questions and posts in this one giant reply. LOL!

Fish Tacos in NoDa! Great call! The shop is sometimes open on Saturdays. Can't remember if it's every other Saturday or not. But call GMP (888) 488-2028 and ask to speak to either Alan or Adam. They'll take care of you!

Thank you very much! [:)]

Can you put up some pics of the modifications GMP made to the system? I have a shop that I may have do the same thing

Are you referring to ADS? If so, it is my understanding that these and other coilovers will NOT be compatible. Only springs can be used with ADS.

Yes, mine does have the Sports Diff!

Sorry been insanely busy since getting back and have totally dropped the ball on getting the videos up and review written on the FI system. I need to first get a proper video camera (goPro at least); iPhone will not cut it. I should have the funds in about 3 weeks and will get started when I can deliver a good product.

But... The system is really phenomenal and is by far the best sounding system I have heard forum wise or other on this platform. Videos do not do it the real justice either, so just understand that when I get these darn videos up. Thanks for the patience. If you have email I can send an iPhone video if you want a preview of it.

No worries bud! Take your time. Think I came across a FI system on a RS7 and it sounded really great!

If you are going to use GoPro, i'd highly recommend getting an external mic and hooking it up to the GoPro. Place it on the license plate so that there is no wind distortion and is close to the exhaust but not too close!

I think my mic is by Vid Pro (?)...got it off Amazon for like $20! Well worth it!
