Has anyone noticed a lot of things in the B7 section on Audizine that are loved, are often absolutely hated in other places/forums/discussion areas?

Some examples:
- S4 door blades
- Phils V4 LED
- People LOVE shitty aftermarket headlights
- Anything carbon fiber

Is it just me? Has anyone else noticed this?

Edit: its*

Yes, B6 owners hate shitty aftermarket headlights, I'm one of them. Yes, B6 owners hate led headlight strips on a B6. Searching the V4 LED I don't it as much on the B7's. I see lots of non-S A4 owners put on S4 door blades.

S4 door blades make the car look much more aggressive... especially if you're a non s-line.

Phils Leds aren't some kind of cheap headlight, the product speaks for itself.

Aftermarket headlights... [down]

Anything carbon fiber is good... however too much of it isn't. I have a carbon hood but it's paint matched... the only raw carbon on my car is the rear spoiler, intake, and interior trim.

Aftermarket headlights, NO.

Aftermarket headlights are a big NO. However, if one is doing a proper retrofit on their halogens, it looks quite factory. Say: Morimoto mini H1s with OEM or iris shrouds.
Phil's LED are good quality for sure, it depends on whether you want it or not. I am still on the fence with it. I sure would want to have DRLs though.
I don't get the concept of S4 door blades, sure it looks aggressive but unless you have power to go with the looks then they are a NO for me. Then you have to space out the wheels, lower the car. Too many variables come into play.

I don't mind people modifying their car. Their car, their money. But if someone puts other's life at risk by using HIDs without projectors and properly aimed, or after market LED taillights that don't work or overly bright, thats the kind of shit what annoys me.
Ever been behind a dodge avenger at night? Even their OEM taillights dazzle my eyes. Who passes such a stupid design that would potentially blind the driver behind you.

Haha yes, these are all things I have on my car because I love them.
Phils V4 (replaced my shitty aftermarket ones), looking for S4 door blades (probably CF remakes) because I love the look, carbon fiber hood & mirrors etc, yadda yadda, etc etc... things Audizine members like and think look great!

BUT, if you talk to other people outside of Audizine, they think these things are terrible and look tacky - I've even had people say the V4 LED look cheap and shit on my car, then praise shitty china LED headlights.

Just wondering if other people have found this, or if I'm kinda alone in this?

LOL.

I'm not sure what model, but there is a new Cadillac SUV or something out there with led tail lights on it that are about four f'ing feet tall. Driving behind it damn near gave me a seizure.

Speaking of caddys, with all these cars I see in LA stretching tire on massive wheels I'm actually quite shocked that curb feelers haven't made a comeback.

Exactly. I don't understand why the tail light LEDs have to be so bright. They should pass a bill to allow front window tint if they keep on allowing those freaking bright LEDs on the tail lights.
I might just put two bright fogs on mounted on the top and hit their car in full brightness so that everyone can see what they are upto inside that 5% tint.

PS: A fellow BMW owner. Been looking for an e92 or F30, how is the F30? Haven't had a chance to test drive one yet. My e46 is getting too old now.

Kind of how I feel about the newer Chargers. I never liked that rear light going across the entire trunk. Pointless to me.

Sweet. I have an E46 x wagon too. As far as the F30, the base 328 (2.0T) is nice, quick enough and gets incredible gas mileage, but lacks in the sporty department. I'd spring for the 335 with Sport package if you can swing it. E46/F30 is like comparing B6/B8. Just a totally different experience.

Ya, I heard its not stout as the older 3 series but that engine on/off at traffic lights looks like a nice feature to save gas. I might go for 335 e92, or 328 if I find the right color, package combination. I am looking for another 6 cylinder and Montego blue is what I am after:) so hard to find.

I don't understand. Where are S4 door blades hated? Where is carbon fiber hated? [confused]

I think most people on the B7 section and Audizine in general really dislike aftermarket headlights, but I guess you could say Phil's LEDs are in the same category.

I never said Audizine hates these... I said the exact opposite. These are things Audizine likes, and are seemingly hated other places OUTSIDE of Audizine.

You said the B7 section likes them and no one else does, which I think most of us inferred meant the rest of AZ

Sorry, as stated above this, your post makes it sound like these things are only liked in the B7 section, and disliked in all the other sections of Audizine, which I found to be confusing.

Sorry guys, hope it makes more sense now.

Totally does.

- CF just depends person to person. Pretty much everyone agrees overall that there is definitely such a thing as too much CF, but its generally not hated everywhere else.. Pretty similar to AZ from what I've seen. Mercedes and BMW people live for CF.

- LED headlights were made by audi, so that's what we like them. Same as angel eyes for BMW people. You see them occasionally on other cars, but not that often.

- People here imo hate shitty ebay headlights. B7 people normally will only run OEM headlights.. More into modifying stock headlights than aftermarket ones. Frankly OEM lights are such a big deal for consumers now, that they all are coming with nice enough headlights for most anyways, so aftermarket headlights are becoming a thing of the past..

- S4 door blades is just a very audi specific part, even more so just B7/B6.. Doesn't really translate to other car types any better than other car specific parts.. Maybe think of it like the CSL rear lip for the E46 M3, but obviously more common.
