Posted a similar thread in the RS4 section a few years ago when I had one and it was a hit and is still strong. I realize there aren't as many RS5's out there today, let alone one's that are lowered, but it would be nice to see pics of those that are. Make sure to state what make and type of suspension you chose to go with. I have only had my RS5 for a few days but I plan to lower it, likely in the spring. Leaning towards the H&R sport springs.

Let's see some lowered RS5 pics!

On my own RS, I will be doing the same next year! For now I will get my h&r coilovers installed.

slight thread jack due to lack of pic's on my part...I too am looking at lowering my RS5 and looking at the H&Rs. I have been told there are two heights available for the RS5 - so what is the common height that you guys go for out of interest ?

For the rs5 most guys go with the h&r oe or gmg springs.

HR sports is a nice compromise between hr oe and GMG. Not as slammed as GMG but also not as stock-looking as the H&R OE.

Here's mine on hr sports:

You just sold me on the H&R Sport Springs...along with the aggressive spacer kit! Had to post your car here...hope you don't mind? Looks bad ass!

I don't mind at all! Sorry I'm posting from the phone with mobile view so it's hard to do image markup :p

The two of them really complement each other well and still aggressive enough for DD. After the drop, you'll notice a small percentage of rake (1-2 degree? Non scientific lol) where the wheel gap is about a quarter inch for the front while you get about half an inch gap for the rear. If you zoom in on the profile view you can sorta see it...I'm just super anal about details so I'd let you know if you decided on HR sports. I believe the GMG springs sit evenly but it's also a tad lower than HR sports.

Post some pics when you made your decisions :)

How long have they been on the car, I'd give them a month to settle. I actually prefer that look than the level ride height, GMG looks too low at the rear.

Got it installed around June so we're talking 5 months now. Coming from a coilover setup in my previous car, im so used to having everything dialed in and leveled but honestly how they're sitting now I don't mind at all...even with a little angle.

how does the ride compare to coils?

AirmattRS5

Apple and orange, really. My previous car was a TT and the coilover set up was pretty low so of course the ride comfort needed to be stiff so it doesnt bottom out. Compound that with smaller tires and short wheelbase and you'll feel and hear every creaks, pebbles, etc.

Compare that to the HR sports, the RS5 feels like it's driving on pillow-covered roads. Of course, chassis rigidity between a GT car vs a subcompact is also night and day.

Anyone know how much accuair will cost for the RS5?

Here's mine from my last track day:

Looks great! What are you lowered on? From your sig it looks like H&R....springs or coilovers? Spacers? If so, what size spacer front and rear?

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, man!

I'm lowered on the H&R RSS+ coilovers. It is 1.25 inches lower from stock (measured from center of hub to fender).

Sigh...simply cannot wait until the weather brake and I can take decent pics with my car as the way it should properly look.
