so I got this airbag deployed audi s5 2010.

if started it before, it runs, it just. needed a new radiator and some other cooling system parts.

ive managed to redneck start the car. I bypassed the exploded pyrotechnic fuse breaker that shuts down the car when air bags deploy. Now I need to find a new breaker for the battery so I dont have to manually connect the battery to give the alternator electricity.

model number is 4f0 519 915

it looks like there is all types of these breakers that work for a lot of other German cars, and they have the same model

however there is one difference.

there is a clock type thing printed on them in a circle and there is an arrow that points to a number. I have no clue what it means. 2 ebay sellers say there breakers work for audi s5 however their picture of the breaker have different arrows pointing to different numbers.

I would buy the new breaker from a dealer but they dont even have the model number or diagram for the pyrotechnic breaker, its like they dont want to sell it.

any electricians in here? Mine points to 9

The clock thing is just the date-code when it was made. Doesn't mean anything concerning a replacement part. Just jumper it for now, and find a replacement at a junkyard. I think the VW CC V6 has the same unit, as its battery is also in the trunk (side compartment)

go to another dealer. They have to sell it Audi makes it. Also nothing but the part number means anything to you. All the rest of the numbers and mumbo jumbo is just casting numbers and date stamps is all means nothing to you.

I had a feeling it was just a date label, thank you.

Edit - I just noticed that the OP on this 10-5 thread is the OP on the other thread I just referenced (from July '14) too!

I installed a new pyrotechnic interrupter. It literrally boosted my battery level. The past few months i couldnt ever charge it. It never stay charged. But this new breaker seriously makes my battery work great! and its a 5 year old battery with a resent cell charge i had a shop do to it.
