How has your overall experience been? I purchased both to cure some of the chunkiness of the DSG in stop and go traffic, but have noticed with these mounts it is 1) louder 2) clunkier (or maybe I'm just perceiving that due to the increase in noise on clutch engagement)

Wow really? I thought it was supposed to do the opposite. Glad I didn't pull the trigger

I can't speak on DSG or Spulen, but in my 2012 6MT I had the Apikol rear diff bushing and 034 transmission mount and I noticed easier/smoother shifting. I did not notice any increased noise or harshness.

I'm in the same boat, can't really help you cause I have a 6MT but I have the Apikol diff mount (race/red) and it made a significant difference in lower gears and I didn't notice any added noise.

I'm not super concerned with the noise. It is hard to hear, radio off, windows up-but it's there.
Mainly curious to hear everyone else's experiences.

clunkier? definitely not what I wanted to hear. I'm so annoyed with the 1-2 or 2-1 shifting on these cars.

I've posted here re: the 034 mounts -

But the reality is that the one thing that really removed the clunkiness was the Revo s-tronic tune.

GIAC DSG tune is fantastic and will solve the problem for you.

Check your bolts - maybe you didn't tighten it/them down properly. You should not be getting ANY noise from either.

I have both the 034 tranny and Apikol rear diff mounts, and I didn't notice any difference in noise. I'd say shifts are *slightly* smoother to no difference, but definitely not what it sounds like your experience has been.

Not DSG, but I am 6spd with both and no noise/clunks.

I did and both were fine. Added a few drops of blue loctite on the initial install too.
