I plan on BTing my car but the issue is a LOVE my fog lights. But most (all but 1000$+ ones) make you take them out. I want to buy a tread stone FMIC does anyone know of a piping kit that allows me to keep them?
Thank you

CXracing kit works with the Treadstone tr18t and allows you to keep your fogs

Or buy the a TR18 core and go custom plumbing. I'm getting 2.5" hot side, 3" cold side made for $500. That's parts and labor. Of course, I already have the core. So ~$750 you have a custom fix fmic with fogs.

A pre fab pipe kit? Don't bother. Just get the one with lots of bends in it and make it fit. Some people would say that cutting off the hump could make a hose blow off under boost, but its never happened to me at 25 psi. I never used hairspray either.

So there are no kits I just have to make one for my car?

I'm sure there are kits out there, but why spend the extra money on one? Not to mention, the kit has to be tailored for the FMIC too. You could probably get a kit to work on many FMIC's, but it isn't for certain. Just buy a CXRacing piping kit on ebay and start fitting it to your car. Isnt that hard at all.

Just out of curiosity but what bends did you use? I'm looking at the CXRacing site and they have so many options for universal piping kits that I'm not sure which would work just right. I don't wanna spend money on a bunch of bends I don't need to find out that I'm missing ones I do need, you know?

Well, all the kits are similarly priced. Can't remember exactly which bends I got, but I have a bunch left over. If there was a cheaper kit available Im sure I would have found one.

Just find the cheapest kit you can with a lot of different bends.

That looks like it is supposed to be used with the stock SMIC and crossover pipe. May get it to work with an FMIC though

nope. its the same piping they sell with the full kit, but of course the intercooler they use is junk. its made for intercoolers that measure 28" from inlet to outlet pipe.

all ypu would have to do is buy one more pipe that would go from the TB down to the hard pipe that comes with the kit. maybe $20 for that pipe and one coupler/clamp

Or get this one and make it work for less. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CXRacing-2-5-Intercooler-Pipe-Kit-Civic-Accord-Prelude-/330342230854?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ce9ee6b46&vxp=mtr

Same one I got

you can do that too, but the fastway racer one is a direct fit.

Do you believe that I will have to remove the fogs

If you make the piping yourself then that is entirely up to you. If you buy a kit, then its sort of a crapshoot. The CXRacing direct-fit kit shouldn't cause you any problems.

I've looked into that before to use with the Evo cooler. Is 2" too small for a K03 or just right? I don't think I will be upgrading to anything bigger until I save up enough to put in an EFR, but that won't happen for a while (motor, suspension, brakes, etc. will get sorted first) and I will need bigger piping than a K04/F21 will use anyway.

The CXRacing direct-fit kit shouldn't cause you any problems.

The CX Racing piping kit (at least when used with their intercooler, but should be similar to TR18T) puts the passenger-side pipe underneath the air conditioning lines. This also puts it far away from the fog light on the passenger side. However this does put the pipe pretty low, and mine does scrape the ground on occasion.

There is also no interference between driver-side pipe and fog light.

2" is not too small for k03/ko4 and possibly even gt series turbos. the compressor outlet on most of them are 2" anyway

Running the TR18t and still have A/C, fog lights, and all my fog light grills. Universal 2.25" piping kit picked up for hot side, universal 2.5" piping kit used for cold side. Custom install by Poopie.

you can get either evo 8 or 9 chassis intercoolers. dont look at evo 10 intercooler because it doesnt work on our cars due to one of the outlet placement

Yeah, I ended up getting a universal set of 2.5in pipes on ebay. Just gonna go full custom like I did on my 20th. best results. cheapest route. Just gotta figure out how to run the DV from the cold side/tb location all way back to my TIP

It's ok, every question is flame worthy in their eyes. There's a reason they're called the flamers, and its not just on the internet [emoji33]

thanks, I know about those but Not fond of Silicone DV bungs. Plus my DV ports on the oversize SuperDV wont fit. Im getting a bung welded on like my last diy intercooler set up.

Mainly Im focused on where to put the bung on the Pipes as well as TIP. Placement, effeciency, and realiablility is key for me... time is the challenge...My statement was more rhetorical than it came off lol.
