Just what I love to see... I hop into my car this morning and immediately am faced with a gigantic check engine oil sensor light in my computer. Not happy to be getting errors like this 1600 miles into a car.

Will post an update after my visit to the dealership Wednesday morning.

Ouch. Let us know what happens. I've got about the same mileage on my B7 -- if I experience the same thing, I'll post it for sure.

So here's the deal. The wire coming from the oil temp sensor is JUST above the belly pan and is VERY exposed. The dealership I took it to (McDonald Automotive Group in Denver) immediately asked me if I'd been to the airport. Apparently Rabbits have been chewing through these wires at an alarming rate. They have apparently been dealing with a large number of new A4's having this problem. I was parked at the airport for 4 days. I took pictures of the wires and the dealership's solution to the problem. I'm going to post the pics once I download them to my comp. Next step is getting Audi to acknowledge it as a warranty problem so I can get reimbursed $208.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to approach Audi with this problem?

Here are the pics... I'll tell you what, if it was a rabbit, it was some sort of crazy ninja audi assassin rabbit. Knew just where to nibble and kill the wire.

And here's what McDonald is putting around the replaced wire on every car they fix with this problem:
