Dont know if ther is a big turbo kit available for the B7 yet. I would think APR is getting close.
I heard that GIAC is going to be putting out a turbo kit along with their chip.

that sounds great, could you let me inform
I read in some of the tread that now the B7 are fitted with the k03 that there is a k04 etc.. what are those turbo and what are they meaning
thanks guys for the replies
The K04 is essential the same size turbo as the K03, only difference is the internal's that make the difference in available power. The turbo for the 2.0T will most likely be pretty pricey considering the fact that the turbo and manifold are together as one piece as opposed to the 1.8T where the turbo and manifold are two different pieces.

Another problem you will encounter is warranty (if you hope to keep it). On the old A4's, when you changed out the turbo, it wasn't easily apparent to audi tech's without close inspection. On a new Audi, it's easy to tell because all a tech has to look for is a two part manifold/turbo combination. But don't let me stop you, I really want to see how much power these cars can be milked for [:D]

GIAC doesn't do turbo kits, but they do programing for turbo kit for companies like AWE.
BTW there is no Big turbo kit that has been released that runs GIAC software for B6's yet (production started in 2002).
You're looking into some 3-4 years before some one comes up with BT kit for B7's
Thats what I meant GIAC/AWE Tuning will be coming out with a turbo upgrade kit. I don't think it's going to be anything to big probably just a K04, but with the new motor should be pretty close to putting out Stage III 1.8T numbers.

So for instance I can not expected to change it [=(]
if it is that possible one day, what you guys think, we could get as extra power by increasing the turbo + ecu = 100 HP

Good luck with that. And how do they plan on replacing injectors with bigger ones?
BTW theres people making 300whp with stage III on B6 platform.
The APR kit for the 97'-01' A4 is around 280hp, and yes that is most likely possible numbers for just a K04, being the chip is already putting out somehwere around 240-255hp for the 2.0T.
Sorry I should have said I was reffering to the B5, my last car was a B5 1.8T so i'm just basing the numbers off of what I had researched on my old car.

Chipping the car is not the problem but fueling is, with K04 they will need to use bigger injectors, and that is gonna be the problem..

Not on the FSI motor it shouldnt. That will be the nice thing. There are some turbo kits in testing right now but yes it will likely be 6 months or more for all of the long term testing to be done in several countries and several altitutudes and fuels. cheers! Mike

So youre saying that the 2.0T K04 kit will work on stock injectors and make same gains K04 is on B6 platform?
