Code P1081 Audi - Exhaust Bank 3- Mixture Adaptation Range 1 Lower Lean Limit not Reached

cleared the codes yesterday with vag com

started the car and it misfired and after a few minutes CEL came back on, anyone have experience with this, id really hate to pay the dealer to do something i can do.

BTW, the person on the thread I linked to fixed it via addressing the leaking valve cover gasket and changing the plugs ;) so at the very least have you done the basic maintenance on the car:

plugs, fuel filter, leaking gaskets, air filter, etc...?

I was going to recommend doing some basic maintenance on it as well just to see if that resolves the issue.

Exhaust Bank 3?? Yes, each side of five cylinders of the V10 is split into two (3+2) so you have Bank-1 to Bank-4. It is done to cram the catalytic converters in the engine bay as they can be smaller if you only have two or three cylinders to take care of.
