Bleh I definitely like the 2014's better IMO. I'm not a fan of the style lights. Doesn't look like much has changed otherwise. A mild power bump in the S6 to 450 but I'm sure they just tweaked the ECU to make the extra 30 horses...Been there done that!! HAHA.

Audi Reveals 2015 A6 Facelift with New Engines, Gearbox and Matrix LED⌖

After the mid-life facelift for the A7 four-door coupe, Audi is now ready to reveal the updated A6 family of cars. Technical details and photos were just revealed today in a press statement, covering comprehensive changes from the most efficient ultra models to the powerful RS6.

Not surprisingly, Audi has added new engines to the lineup of both the estate and sedan models. However, some of these changes will come as a surprise, even to Audi fans. Proving petrol engines are now just as efficient as the diesels, the A6 will be available with a 1.8-liter TFSI powering an ultra model. The new unit makes 190 PS, 10 more than on the A3, and will return combined consumption of just 5.7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (41.3 US mpg), corresponding to 133 grams CO2 per kilometer.

TDI ultra models will continue to be available, two of them in fact. The base model is a 2.0 TDI rated at 150 PS and claiming 4.2 l/100km combined (56.0 US mpg) corresponding to 109 grams CO2 per kilometer (175.4 g/mi). The other TDI makes 190 PS and uses the glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) springs we've heard so much about.

As for the bigger 3.0 TDI, three versions will be available, the same ones as on the A7 facelift. The base unit makes 218 PS, followed by a 272 PS one and a twin-turbo with 320 PS. But, there's also a performance version built to celebrate 25 years of TDI technology. Fitted to the A6 3.0 TDI competition, the diesel makes 326 PS or 346 PS for short periods of overboost.

In the A6 versions with front-wheel drive, a fully redeveloped dual-clutch transmission replaces the multitronic CVT. This is probably the best news of all Audi has given us today.

Moving on to the performance models, both the S6 and RS6 continue to offer 4-liter twin-turbo V8 mills. However, power for the S6 and S6 Avant has been boosted from 420 PS to 450 PS. This makes both a little faster (0.2 l/100km) without affecting fuel consumption.

Cosmetic changes to the A6 are kind of limited. But, the newer models will be instantly recognizable thanks to the new LED headlights, which can also be ordered with the Matrix adaptive system first fitted to the A8 flagship. The interior photo we have of the facelift suggests a new wood trim insert is joined by next-gen MMI systems. The top-of-the-line navigation system with the power-retractable 8inch screen is now based on a new technology platform that uses the Tegra 30 graphics chip from Nvidia.

The new A6 will go on sale in Germany this fall but won't be ready for America until late 2015. Some pricing details have also been announced today, with the 1.8 TFSI engined sedan costing €38,400, which is A4 money. The Audi S6 is priced at €75,400, and the Audi RS 6 Avant lists for €108,900.

Agree, nothing too special on the outside there. I would like the new next gen MMI though. The rotors look cross drilled, but they look like carbon too, so maybe that's the ultra expensive option.

Matrix LED headlights won't be on US models. As of now, it is still illegal.

Yes, I know, but they won't be coming as part of the car, you will have to retrofit after you get the car.

Doubt they tweaked the ECU any, just listed a higher number.

I absolutely prefer the current headlights over these.

^this

The true number for the S6 was in the vicinity of 480 for the '14s.

This is the most minor facelift any Audi has ever got.

Repeat: Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johanssen do not need bolt ons or facelifts.

A trend I despise in general are trapezoidal exhaust tips. They're pipes.

So this will be the 2016 U.S. model? Curious to know which 3.0 TDI output audi chooses to import.

Why does Audi always go squintier with their refreshes? Similarly, the front is way too busy.

the front is way too busy? Other than the headlights, what's changed? I remember similar complaints when the facelifted S4 was announced. Yet, there seems to be a surprising lack of rush on the older B8 S4. Car looks great. Now I just need the price of CPO pre-facelift models to drop below $60k.

Wishing on a star for at least one Avant model; big motor, S6 or TDI competition, to make it into the US lineup. Please.

+1, but we know it's never going to happen... [:(]

+1. Hate the new trapezoidal "pipes". As for the lights, I think audi is in a slump as the newest lights on the S4, A8 and now the C7 are not improvements.

For once, I'm glad I pulled the trigger on the pre-refresh. It doesn't look bad (and I'm sure it will grow on me) but at this point, I prefer the current look.
