Hello everyone, I am new to the S6 and to modding. I have a phantom black with the black optics package. I would like to change out the factory rims to black rims, but would like to keep the new wheels spec as close to factory as possible. I have never done this before and have several questions that I could not easily gleam from searching the forum.

1. How do I get them installed? I will order them from a website. Do I just get them shipped directly to a tire shop? I would like to mount some Michelin PSS on them (assuming they're available). Is it better to find a site that will install the tires onto the wheels and ship them as a package? What is a reasonable installation cost?

2. I want to stay with 20" wheels. However, I have no clue what difference offset makes. As I understand it, the factory offset is 40. Does changing offset change the driving characteristics, or just how the outside edge of the wheels lines up with the body of the car?

3. What do I do with the old wheels and tires? I live in TX so there is no need to keep an extra set for the winter. How would I go about selling them and to whom (online? local used tire shop?).

4. What are your recommendations for a sub $500 gloss or matte black wheel?

I appreciate your input.

you can have them shipped to either your house or your mechanic or whoever you plan on having install the wheels, it's probably best to give them a heads up if you do. http://www.getyourwheels.com/ is a forum vendor, they sell a wide assortment of wheels and they also mount tires. it might or might not be beneficial to have the wheels shipped as one package, you might saw a few bucks on install but you might pay a little more for shipping. you will probably have peace of mind that the new wheels will not be damaged if they are mounting them as well

I added spacers and I didn't notice any difference in how the car drove, you would probably have a similar experience

you can either post on the forums or try to sell on craigslist, any idea how much you would be asking? I might be interested haha

4. What are your recommendations for a sub $500 gloss or matte black wheel?

you can check out avant garde wheels, they offer a wide selection of wheels which will fit the criteria you listed, the site I mentioned above sells those wheels as well

I appreciate your input.
