In the market for an aftermarket exhaust for my 2013 RS5. Coming from a 911, the stock sport exhaust just does not have as much bark as I would like. However, I use my car as a daily and don't want anything too extreme and definitely no drone with highway cruising.

I've noticed a lot of members have installed the awe track exhaust. Although capristo seems universally praised, at twice the cost is it worth it over the awe system? Can anyone provide a review of the awe track exhaust?? Appreciate any feedback.

Having heard quite a few RS's in person with the AWE Track exhaust, I can say it sounds great and imo the best bang for your buck! Also a big sound improvement from the stock sport exhaust. You definitely do not want to go with their Extreme version as it is loud and you will hear drone. That said all the AWE exhausts for the RS5 do away with the valves, sooo the sound is pretty much correlated to the pedal and fairly uniform no matter what drive select your in. Capristo, Akrapovic and others do utilize the valves and like the stock exhaust really opens up after 3K rpm. I know there are quite a few RS5 vids out there that show the Track version for sure and some with the Touring version. I'd look into those two. AWE has some vids on their site too.

Appreciate the feedback Nate. Very helpful. I'm leaning towards getting the awe system over springing for capristo. Valves system isn't necessary IMO if the tone and volume are right.
