There is not much of a selection for exhausts for our cars and i am not a fan of awe so does anyone know if the s4 exhaust would fit with minor modifications? Also wondering if it would be worth it to cut out the resonators while at it. any relevant info appreciated.

Your car probably has an exhaust already so what are you trying to achieve? More noise, less noise, twin pipes, black pipes etc.

You may want to wait on the Milltek..as that seems to be the only option. They had said around end of July, but i haven't seen anything yet. Could be any day now..
They are no longer responding to emails so hopefully they haven't given up on it.

It's the AWE Touring Exhaust with S6 valance. Valance was $400.

The fact that AWE will not advertise their A7 exhaust as working with the A6 tells me something. My guess is that it drones and some people can either live with that drone or they can't. AWE probably correctly assumes most can't or else they'd be taking C7 A6 owners money with a quickness.

You're guessing...

As stated in first post, I am not a fan of AWE.

Nope...the manufacturer of the exhaust won't recommend it for the A6. Cops call that a clue.

there's no crime here but there's now an APB on the drone everyone keeps bringing up on my system.

Folks...just got another update from Milltek. They should be done with development for the C7 3.0T next week and will release pricing by mid-September. Woohoo!

Good tip, but you can find great prices on used aftermarket S4 exhausts.

There is some dude that replaced the mufflers with repacked S4 mufflers and it sounded ok. They must weld up ok. Don't remove the center resonator thing, the suitcase. It sounds like shit when you do.

RESURRECTION

Back to the original question, "does anyone know if the s4 exhaust would fit with minor modifications?"

I have done this years ago. Started with an S4 exhaust I bought off here. Bought non s-line quad tip valence off of Aliexpress. Exhaust shop added dual roughly 6 inch pipes to accomodate for longer length of the A6. After a couple years, I hate how quiet it is. I cut out the suitcase muffler and added the magnaflow x-pipe. Much better growl at 4k but a bit more drone at 2k. Overall it fits with a little modification. I love it.
