Does anyone know if the C5 RS6 front discs and 8pot calipers are a straight fit onto my A6 C6 sline? I have been looking at a set and just need to know if there going to fit before I waste my money. I am running 19" wheels so clearance wont be an issue.

Thanks

I don't think it will. But what's nice about rs6 calipers is that brackets come off and if you make custom brackets you can use rotors and calipers to make them work on the c6.

Ah awesome. Thanks for the info. I know I can run porsche cayenne calipers with some 350mm mercedes discs but would rather have some RS6 8 pots

Porsche cayenne is much cheaper. RS6 rotors are very expensive as well as pads.

Are you sure about that? Everything I had read indicates that only applies to non 4.2l C5 A6's.

I have the RS6 calipers sitting somewhere in my garage, and my plan was to run those on cross drilled S6 C6 discs.

Didnt do it yet, no time

Sounds like you would have similar issues either way, and it would be a hard sell depending on how much the custom rotors and brakets cost, it may just be easier to buy a stoptech kit (which is an awesome company).

Here's a user that started the process, but never followed up.

I was on here 5 weeks ago posting about a future BBK. The future is arriving... (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/575838-I-was-on-here-5-weeks-ago-posting-about-a-future-BBK-The-future-is-arriving?highlight=17z)

I dont belive cayenne calipers fit.
You better of getting RS6, RS4, R8 calipers because they have brackets that come off and you can get custom once to get machined to fit most of the cars.

I did a lot of research into upgrading my brakes worth epithet c5 or porsche setup.
They don't foot due to disc and caliper offset being wrong. Add already said custom brackets for the caliper might work but you would need to check clearances with wheels first.
I'm keeping my eye out for a used setup of a rs6 c6 but they're like rocking horse sxxt.

C6 S6 rotors are 385mm, i'm pretty sure custom brackets would work no problem

Custom brackets wont be a problem to make. I know a couple local lads who deal in making things like this. Another option is some lambo calipers what I think are pretty much similar to the RS6 calipers.
Any one know what the actual difference is between the RS6 c5 disc and the A6 C6 disc apart from size

Wouldn't you have to do other mods so they would work?

I know I did the larger set up on my C5, but would love to do something similar. Plug n play brakes just swap carriers/ calipers.

After doing some reading, here's what you need

2X RS6 C5 Calipers (8 pistons)
1X RS6 C5 Brake pad kit
2X RS6 4F or Phaeton V10 TDi Brake Heat shield
2X RS6 4F Brake lines
2X Phaeton V10 TDI Disc (365mmX34) - 3D0 615 301 N
