I have a 2008 A8L and can stream phone calls over bluetooth however I am not able to stream music via the bluetooth system. Is there a way to set it up to do so or is there a modification anyone has used to solve this minute problem?

There is but it involves you already having the CD changer in the glove box and having the optical split cable as well as buying a bluetooth receiver.

See here: http://www.audia2dp.com/faqs.html for more details. You'll have to adapt for your D3

The website says it's for MMI 3G only. Has someone tried this already?

Yes I have...I stream bluetooth audio in my D3 S8...no problems at all. Now I didn't purchase their solution but made my own following theirs as a guide.

The split cables allow for you to add an iPod/iPhone as an auxiliary input
