Hope this hasn't been posted before. I've been surfing around trying to find out what I could about the upcoming APR stage 2 mods for the RS7. If you've found anything else please add to the tread.
March 2014 Texas
APR made some jaws drop with their 680 wheel horsepower dyno of their tuned RS7. Those numbers were with a preliminary Stage 2 tune only and the deletion of cats in the exhaust system, that's it. The dynamometer APR uses is a Dynapack dyno which is known to read a bit high. At the dyno competition at Texas 2K14 an all wheel drive Dyno Dynamics dynamometer was used along with a Dynojet for rear wheel drive cars. The results put the horsepower of APR's RS7 in context.
Now, the numbers are much lower than the Dynapack numbers. However, the Dyno Dynamics is known as a 'heartbreaker' and tends to read low. That certainly depends on how it is set. Regardless, the APR RS7 put down more power than a lot of cars and only one tuned GTR put down more power at all four wheels than it did. A modified GT-R put down 404 horsepower at all four wheels to give you an idea of how the Dyno Dynamics is reading.
Dyno numbers are not an exact science as this shows but the APR RS7 is making some serious horsepower however you look at it.

Looks like Russia and in general, the cars all seem a little slow in the quarter. Maybe a high DA. If so, speculation that this mod might get nears the 9s seems valid.

sea level always has better horsepower and drag times, but that m6 got spanked..

This new video that popped up says stage 1 but it's running like the 780 hp listed is probably accurate. So I'm assuming this is the new APR stage 2, probably now on 100 octane. This, because Nikolay G's car in Russia was listed as 750 HP for APR Stage 2.
The way that RS7 pulled on the tuned RS6 is brutal

The guy who owns the RS7 in the above video posted elsewhere that the video should say 750 HP
Also that he's running total race stage 2 and is moving up to a total race stage 3 at 870 HP
Someone's got to be changing turbos or adding methanol or something more radical to get in the high 800s

How can we get 870 hp? I'm hoping they do turbos and castles dp. I need more power!! :)

Agreed and if major work like turbos then why not 1000 as a target

This is from the new APR/Michelin video. The number referenced would imply a 21whp gain over stage 1. I'd expect a bit more but that is still good I suppose.
edit: Also just realized that the R8 number is messed up.

my understanding from an inside source says Stage 2 has a lot to do with different down pipes.

Stage 2 is almost always just catless/HFC downpipes.

Actually it's 75 HP more than stage 1 on 93 octane. I suspect this is a 93 octane number because the nikola G guy over in Russia that's running the APR stage 2 said he gets 750 on 93 octane.
This would put the 100 octane at a little over 800 HP assuming no efficiency loss

They used race gas numbers for the TTRS, so I'd assume they put race gas numbers for the RS7. Of course who knows if those are the final numbers, etc...

So apparently stock turbos, modified fuel system and best of 10.15 in the quarter so far

No point in going faster than 10.00 as none of is RS7 owners are going to be putting cages to meet nhra rules.

That is just nuts. Isn't the ZF tranny operating way out of its torque rating? I thought 750 lbs/ft was the magic number. If one half-credible person tells me "nah, it can handle it" then I might be a buyer. If it involves obnoxiously loud exhaust noise then I'm out.

Headers, modified stock turbos, fuel system
This is "Ghost" over in Russia
It's looks to me like the 1/4 speed is switched between the two cars. 109 in the 8th equates to 142 in the qtr not 133. And a 11.4 qtr running 142 mph doesn't seem right.

No idea sorry. The guy posts on audiboost.com and gives limited answers. Nice guy but English doesn't appear to be his first language and my Russian is poor

At H20, one APR guy said maybe 2 weeks another guy said not that quickly
Waiting on fabrication
Cat free down pipe and tune.
A little fuzzy on communication but I think 3". It's a direct drop in, but the cross over and corresponding extra distance and extra bends are removed. I used an exhaust picture some else posted and put 2 red lines to illustrate the straight shot as it was described to me.
This would seem to make the Milltek cat back or equivalent the perfect compliment

Would agree with not that fast, unfortunately cast production is not 2 weeks away. Your drawing looks spot on:)
